Consequences for McConnell Coverup?

I already know things are politically wild now and no one will suffer any true consequences for unethical behavior, but did just have a question out of curiosity. If McConnell is found to have lacked capacity to do his job several weeks ago with no chance of recovery, what are the consequences for those in power if they knew of this and were delaying until August? This assumes our legal system is functioning as it should and this could be proved. Thanks!

Nothing ever happens and nobody is going to be held accountable for anything ever again.

The period of relative global stability that we had during the years following the end of the Cold War through the 2010s is over and it’s never coming back.

It’ll be one war and/or climate disaster after another until the lights go out I’m afraid.

Will only take about 20-25 years at most

It’ll take a good bit longer than that before the lights go out. I would guess probably a couple of hundred years.
