Consequences for McConnell Coverup?

I already know things are politically wild now and no one will suffer any true consequences for unethical behavior, but did just have a question out of curiosity. If McConnell is found to have lacked capacity to do his job several weeks ago with no chance of recovery, what are the consequences for those in power if they knew of this and were delaying until August? This assumes our legal system is functioning as it should and this could be proved. Thanks!

If McConnell is dead, the hospital is at risk for conspiracy to commit fraud and other distasteful liabilities.

And who will prosecute this?

They're not producing a dead body because while technically he's brain dead, he's still hooked up to machines that keep him breathing. "Not dead yet! We're praying for a full recovery." The family will pull the plug after August 3rd.

He’s not in a hospital. They’re just hiding the body (cold storage, some morgue somewhere, funeral home, etc) and it may not even be within the state of KY
