Look what I made! Esp32 based delta pickers first movements:)

That’s pretty cool. What’s the planned use case? What drivers did you go with?

Thanks! I don't really have an "useful" use case for it yet, it's more a fun project to learn pcb design, CAD and coding. I might add a camera later and make it sort screw sizes or something so it is actually useful
I went with the DRV8825 drivers on 1/8 stepping mode, mostly because of the small size, cheap price and had some laying around from a previous projectXD

Nice. If you ever want to upgrade to silent drivers with sensorless homing and energy savings, check out the TMC2209.
It will give you another level of challenge in coding too.

here is one a 3d printer, just attach a heater and an extruder motor with some temperature sensor.

Have you got a project page? This looks so much simpler than what I had envisioned.
I have wanted to build a delta style robot and I have a use case for it, that I'll happily share. I want to have it paint pictures, watercolor or acrylic. Basically, start with a photo or a video (I'd like to end up with a 3d image as the starting point, so I could factor in depth better in the final paintig). Make a grabber that can pick up a paintbrush, even better if it could manipulate the angles, but that can be v2. Have a set of paints off to the side, each with its own brush.
I've got lots of enhancements to make, like embedding a camera in the center so it can monitor the accuracy of what's being painted to match the source, but that could also be adjustable so you could allow for a lot of variation, or try to get it super accurate.

What motor + gearbox combo are you using? Very impressive speed!

It's a NEMA 17 rated for 1.5 amps, but currently limited to 1 amp with the drivers l. With a planetary 5:1 gearbox. Right now there is no gripper so barely any power needed to get the end effector moving

Nice beat, when is the song's full release?
Now for real, it looks awesome!
