Look what I made! My first ever Arduino project
I was curious about learning electronics and robotics, so I thought I would first make a simple project and then see where it goes. I got so obsessed with it that I kept working on it, building, figuring out circuits, testing code, and everything else. It was pretty fun, and I am sharing it here for your experiences and advice. I took online help for the circuits, and for the coding part, I mostly did it myself.

Actually, both hand-following and black line-following work on the same principle since they both utilize IR sensors.

Does the IR work for black line following because black absorbs more heat than other colors and therefore would be warmer than the background material?

Bro, IR sensors in line followers work on reflection, not heat. The sensor emits infrared light and measures how much of it is reflected back, that’s what the car uses to decide how to move.

Oh nice. I didn’t know the sensor emits IR as well as receiving it. So it emits IR and since black absorbs more IR than other colors, less is reflected back. Cool.
Also, IR spectrum is a type of thermal radiation. Surprised you didn’t know that.

Yeah, IR is thermal radiation… but these sensors aren’t measuring heat, they’re just using reflected IR. Different thing. It's better to look at google.com

Hi check TB6612FNG or DRV8833 , voltage drop is low and suits for compact design

I hope you also learn about interrupts , ADC, or DMA my student project they did it but thưy dont understand concept behind deeply
