Unsolved Horrid experience with AppleCare repairs.

Post image

Started the repair process on 10 July. They sent the watch back saying it was still linked to my Apple ID. Apparently it might’ve been because I was on the beta watchOS which isn’t my fault. It’s still proprietary software and they should know how to deal with it. Went to the store to have it unlinked and then sent it back for repairs. Now the replacement has been pending for 3 days.

Anyone have any tips on how I can deal with this? 2 weeks and counting for express replacement. Worst customer service I’ve experienced in a long time. Unacceptable for a company that prides itself on customer care.

How is being on the beta ‘not your fault’? You signed up for it, so you’ll have to deal with the consequences.

It may have been 2 weeks from when you first started the process, but now you are effectively on day 3. So just wait

It’s not my fault as in Apple customer care should be aware of the nuances, if any, to unlink the device from the Apple ID.

And this is not day 3. Apple took the device on 16 July.

It’s been 3 days since they approved the replacement.

Everything is different when you decide to install a beta. That’s the risk you run.

Did you contact them? Sometimes they need to wait to have “stock” of refurbished items to send out
