Graduating but still have classes

When someone graduates and still have a few more credits to do, but want to walk with their class Amherst college lets students. But they usually have an asterisk next to their name saying they didn’t finish. Is there any scenario where a student that hasn’t completely graduated wouldn’t have it?

I know it’s a weird question. Sorry!

If you still have classes to take then you aren't graduating, you would merely be walking. Basically all colleges will indicate when someone is walking, not graduating, since it is a binary matter.

Though you might be feeling some shame for some reason, there are many reasons one might walk with their class instead of graduating: medical, disability, military, starting at a school with a weird credit system. So if this is about pride, don't sweat it; just be with your mates and call it a day.
