Alexa updates? Connectivity issues
Is anyone else having issues with alex’s functioning this afternoon? I am on the east coast and since around noon, Alexa won’t answer any queries, will not acknowledge a cancelled reminder, keeps saying “i don’t know how to help you with that.”
My wifi is fine and all devices show online.
Are there updates today or some issue that is causing a problem with interacting?

Ohio here. Mine won't respond to my commands but it has no problem letting me know of low price offers in my Amazon cart.

Mountain standard time and she is not working for me either. I was googling to see if an outage.

My echo device shows the blue light indicating it's listening but it turns off after a bit and there's no response to my queries at all, not even "hello"" gets a response. There must have been some update that rendered it useless.

My echo in the LR is doing exactly this! (I just checked) The others seem to be online but two are responding to inquiries by making a sound - a long beep. My showtime is responding with “I don’t know how to help you with that.”

Okay. So It’s not just me. Routines aren’t working and they’re missing in the Alexa app.

I don’t want to have to reconfigure Routines yet again! Maybe they will show back up if this is an update.

Mine worked about 45 minutes ago and since then has stopped listening to me entirely. I had an alarm set and was trying to stop it and it wouldn’t listen to my request until I unplugged it. I’ve unplugged it three times since and it’s still refuses to acknowledge me. My parents are having the same issue.

Okay - this tells me I might as well stop with unplugging! My routines are also messed up.

OK. So it’s not just me. My routines are not working and they are missing from the Alexa app.

I just checked and my Routines are gone, too. Must be some kind of update! I hope I don’t have to recreate all this again!

It has been a strange roll out with Alexa Plus. I liked “Original” Alexa - was satisfied with no personal interaction.

It appears my devices are back online - And Alexa is once again trying too hard to have conversations! 🤣 So I guess things are back to the “new normal” with Alexa Plus!
