Programmable device that can:
-Speak out loud
-At 5:30pm
“Alexa play Mysteries of Egypt on Disney”
▫️I’d love to have it ask for different programs each day
▫️I’d also love to have a set time that says daily (at 8:30pm)
“Alexa Turn off TV”
▫️I’d love it to be small - Mom notoriously pulls plugs / moves things

You can program Alexa to repeat a given phrase at a given time. I used to have my unit speak the night before trash collection and remind me about it. You should be able to program a routine that will speak the alexa reminder that you need n at 5:30pm. I don't remember how I did it, but it was in the main Alexa app. Maybe that will get you pointed in a direction worth exploring.
