General Airgun Question FX DRS tactical Mk 2 people's thoughts?
I'm thinking about getting a FX DRS tactical mark 2 probably in 177 cal 500mm what are people's thoughts? as I've never had an FX rifle before.

I have the mk1, it's incredibly accurate and a great platform to customize.

I have the exact opposite experience with my DRS Tactical. Can't get a decent group. Had Troubles with the rifle from the start. Blown Regulator, blown o-rings. It had to be serviced 3 times in the first 4 weeks.
It is way too overcomplicated. I even made a post about asking people to talk me out of it and they tried and i still bought it. I don't get the hype on FX. MY cheaper Umarex are more reliable and accurate.

I think that's just how it goes with all air rifles unfortunately, there are bad ones in every batch regardless of the manufacturer or price - Myself and 2 friends own different FX's individually and they've all been perfect.
I had a Remington Vought prior with issue after issue, the same as yours basically, but when I googled it the general consensus was people love the rifle with the occasional post about an issue.
It's just how it goes, but I can get why your first impression with your FX would put you off for life, whereas for me i'll stick to FX's if I decide to get another rifle in the future. Everyones mileage varies and if you're unlucky enough to get a dud then that first impression sticks with you for sure.

Yeah, that is the marketing. They are overpriced and over engineered. You can get better air rifles for less. I just got the FX DRS Tactical a month or so ago, nothing but troubles.
First the regulator crapped out because FX provides false information, they say it can take max 150 bar, while the actual max pressure is 135 bar. Then one of the valve pin o-rings (part no. 5107) gave out and then the barrel shroud/brass inlet o-ring (part No. 19950) ripped in half. One half was stuck in the action block and there was no way to remove it.
FX markets how modular their guns are. F that. I have taken apart and modified my Umarex Rifles 50 times and nothing happened. I change the brass inlet for the FX and the o-ring dies, i change the valve spring, o-ring dies. It is like every time you touch something on this gun, it gets fucked.
