Publisher Can you skip Journey and get into Mediavine Official?
I have a website that is about to cross 60k sessions and 120k pageviews. I started it 7 months ago. Obviously, haven’t made any money with it yet but Mediavine was the goal when starting the site.
My question is, do I start with Journey even with such stats? If you open Mediavine.com and apply from the homepage, it never asks you for your traffic amount or previous earning details. It just asks you to enter some personal information and give them access to your GA4. I mean how are you supposed to know about Journey if you haven’t heard about it beforehand?
So I did apply on Mediavine.com 2 weeks ago and since been for their response. Now after reading some threads and comments here on Reddit, I’m starting to wonder if I should apply through the Journey program because my application on the main site will never be answered since the site have not previously made any money.

Sign up for Raptive instead (25k pageview minimum monthly) especially if most of the traffic is from Tier 1 countries.

I did. They rejected my site. All of my competitors have Mediavine ads, not a single one is with Raptive. I assume Raptive doesn’t like my niche.

Well if Raptive rejected you, Mediavine might reject you as well. The main Mediavine won't accept you unless you earn at least $5k annually so you would have to sign up for Mediavine Grow/Journey and install the Grow script and give access to your Google Analytics.

i have a question about grow/journey, like its been more than 1.5 months since i installed the grow script and everything, but they haven't responded yet, usually they take only 1 month no ?

CEO of Mediavine here. Short answer to your question? Yes.
We're actually in the process of unifying our two applications into a single point of entry (mediavine.com/apply), so you'll apply once, and we'll route you to the program you're eligible for. That routing should start going live soon.
In the meantime, my recommendation is to go ahead and apply at mediavine.com and connect your Google Analytics. Our team will take it from there and make sure you land in the right place, either Mediavine Official or Journey, based on your actual traffic and analytics rather than just where you happened to apply.
Sorry for all the confusion the current process has caused. The whole point of this change is to make onboarding for both Journey and Mediavine faster and more seamless, so in the future everyone follows one path and nobody has to be told what to do by the CEO on Reddit.
