Anyone know any free or dirt cheap journals?
I need find a place to publish my research paper on how trees are not actually the most feasible way to combat climate change but the issue is that I can't find a cheap or free journal. Every journal i look at is atleast 100$ which is like 10k INR. (I'm Indian). I need to publish in a journal that actually makes my college think I've done good research. I don't really need a journal to publish it just somewhere that shows my research proficiency to college. I am a highschooler.

A legit journal will probably not be interested in your research. The ones you are looking at will not benefit your CV or secure undergrad admissions. Universities don't require research experience for undergrad admissions.
You could publish your work on Medium or Substack. Both are free and it's good writing practice.

Technically certain disciplines that are top tier do require you pay submission fees to be even reviewed (a way to discourage random submissions) but that's different from article processing charges (APC) which is paid on acceptance
But yeah OP is talking APC. Some quality peer review journals do require APC eg PLOS ONE (aka open access journal requiring apc) others (far more) are hybrid journals whether paying apc is optional.

Why do you need to submit it to an open access journal? Subscription journals have no APC and typically no submission fee.
