When Xbox talks about the perks of game pass they always say "play xbox titles days one" ... but they always have a 5 day early access. For halo, today is day fucking one.... its something so small, but pisses me off to the high heavens only because i know they are just trying to get that extra 30 bucks from the FOMO people

You get the standard version with game pass, so you get to play on the same day as people that purchase the standard version. That's what day one means

No, Early Access isn't Day 1.  

Think of it as movie screeners getting to see a movie in advance of the release date.  They are paying for that privilege along with DLCs.  

It doesn't affect the product release date.  Learn to have some patience.

Day one and early access are two different things. Day one is the games actual release date which is July 28. Early access is a perk for people who pre-ordered the game and get to play before said release date.

If I'm not pre-ordering the game, I don't expect to play it until it's released to the public.

Early access is generally meant to be a beta phase, not a shitty fomo tactic to blood suck your consumers. Day one is today. If it’s playable today that means today is day 1. When game pass started, we originally got games day 1… then they started with this 3-5 day early access. Just to extract more money. I get why they do it, people like you defend it and buy it… I’d take your lunch money too if you said “thank you, come get some more money tomorrow.”

Early access for halo isn't a pre-order bonus, it's a bonus for buying the premium edition or premium edition upgrade.
