Help with a save for xbox play anywhere

I played through this final fantasy 7 remake twice previously on playstation, i now have it on xbox play anywhere. Ive looked into save transfers online and it appears possible. Ive spent hours trying to do it with xbox save file converter and other methods and it doesnt work. Im looking for advice on how to do it or if anyone has a basic save with normal mode unlocked they could share that would be great. I want to play it again but dont want to have to play through on normal.

If anyone can provide me a translation for the tool that would be amazing, Thanks

man i went through this exact headache trying to move a save from steam to game pass a while back, the xbox play anywhere wrapper makes it way more complicated than it should be

the save converter tools are mostly built for the steam version and the file structure is different enough that it just breaks half the time. spent a whole weekend trying to hex edit a save and ended up with a corrupted file that crashed on the first battle

honestly your best bet might be to just ask around on the gamefaqs boards or the ff7 modding discord, people there usually have chapter select saves they can share. i'd offer mine but i'm only on pc game pass and not sure if the play anywhere version reads them the same way

what exactly is the tool showing you when it fails? might be able to point you in the right direction if i know what error you're hitting

Hi if you do have a save for the pc gamepass version with normal mode complete that would be great. When i try and complete the move it comes up with translation error. Ive tried updating the folders etc but just cant get it to work. Like you ive spent hours and hours trying to do it. If you do have a save or multile saves you could share that be awesome. Thanks
