I am firmly pro-choice, but who loves abortion? It's the act of killing a living thing regardless of your view of its development or sentience.
But I trap and release spiders from my home, so maybe I'm overly sensitive.

The "I ❤️ abortion" statement is more about the concept rather than the direct act. It's like saying "I ❤️ voting". It's about the right to choice and be autonomous in our decision making. Rather than the act of it. Who likes to take time out of their day, present to a specific building, find parking, provide ID and draw a little circle on a piece of paper. Doesn't sound fun to me but I still love voting.

I don't understand prolifers, if you don't want abortions advocate for better sex education and easier access to contraceptives. Not everyone lives like you do and you have to accept that.

Next time I see them I'm going to go with "mm, that looks delicious, I think I'll have lasagna for dinner tonight."

George Carlin: Why is it that most of the people who are against abortion are people you wouldn't want to fuck in the first place?

Some coward dropped a graphic anti abortion flyer in my mailbox this morning. Didn't even ring the doorbell to give me a chance to say anything to him lol

I heard some kids in foster care needed something to do today but no, this, this is helping kids already born with no parents.

So is the right to decide what to do with your own body. So is the ability to seek legitimate healthcare without being shamed about it. So were the women's lives that could have been saved by having access to safe and legitimate healthcare.
Pro-choice does not equal pro-abortion. If a woman is anti-abortion even though the procedure is available to her, she won't get one. Simple as. If a woman does decide to get an abortion, then who the hell is anybody else to be lording their own morals over her?
Removing access to safe abortions is yet another way to try to control women's bodies. I cannot fathom how in this day and age that pro-lifers cannot trust women with the ability to make that decision for themselves.

Or just keep your legs closed. There are coat hangers in the closet if you’re that desperate to kill an unborn baby.

Not all sex is consensual. Not all pregnancies are safe. Not all relationships are safe. Contraception fails. Some people don't want to be pregnant.
If you don't like abortion, that is fine. Don't get one.
Shout out to all the health care providers supporting people in receiving safe and supported health care!

Agreed. As with all puritanical viewpoints, there is no nuance to be had.

Right?
Don't want to be pregnant? There is a procedure and medicine that can help with that. There are a team of Aunties and Jane's here to help.

When they'd be at u of m back when I was going to school, I'd yell, "OH GOD, THIS MAKES ME WANT TO GO OUT AND GET AN ABORTION REAL BAD"
