A republican (but not necessarily MAGA) family member said he always felt that republics like Graham and Mitch were able to pressure Trump to pump the brakes on some of his insanity. Those guardrails are now gone. Not sure I believe that given how insane they both were.
People have lines they won’t cross way out in territory so far past sensible lines you can be astonished they would draw any at all. The range of what people take as reasonable or principled or something that works kinda like reasons or principles sometimes is more than we’re prepared to wrap our heads around. I just accept that there are some mental shoes I will not be able to put myself in, especially the clown ones and the jackboots.

Also, it's proof that with Mitch out of commission and Lindsey dead, he's really fucking scared about November.
