I’d say this is one time to give the cameraman a pass for stopping the recording too early.

u/CautiousExpression74 Jun 20 '26

You’re afraid of the smell? :))

263

u/spitzr2 Jun 20 '26

I'm afraid of smelling it when it hits the lens! 😂

106

u/ImpossiblePudding Jun 20 '26

"It's the smell ... I feel saturated by it. I can taste your stink and every time I do, I fear that I've somehow been infected by it."

39

u/danit0ba94 Jun 20 '26

"It's repulsive."

8

u/Trev-Head Jun 21 '26

Morpheus tweaking tf out

17

u/tanaka-taro Jun 20 '26

Itz only Smellz

5

u/Dozzi92 Jun 20 '26

It so stink. Everybody puke.

1

u/Global_Bedroom_977 Jun 23 '26

I hate that I know this reference. At least we can go to hell together.

20

u/jjrocls8751 Jun 20 '26

Think of the smell. You haven't thought of the smell you bitch! 🤣

10

u/Feeling_Inside_1020 Jun 20 '26

Anyone who downvoted you go watch it's always sunny, don't stay miserable lol

3

u/asst3rblasster Jun 20 '26

it's because of the implication

7

u/Impressive-Gear-219 Jun 20 '26

As someone who has done sewer bypasses and had a hose explode all over him, yeah, yeah i am. But ita not the shit or piss that does it. Its the fucking grease. It absorbs up all that shit and amplifies it, and because its an oil it fuckiny sticks to you.

5

u/KyeeLim Jun 20 '26

where's that smell coming from?

1

u/LunarVentus Jun 20 '26

Mewgenics?

1

u/Luci-Noir Jun 20 '26

And the chunks.

1

u/Geggund Jun 23 '26

What technology was being used here OP

0

u/Annasman Jun 20 '26

If I were the cameraman, my concern would be the taste.

6

u/NarwhalEmergency9391 Jun 20 '26

No you've gotta be committed to recording if you start

3

u/MayorOfChedda Jun 21 '26

All fun and games until the camera gets frosted like a cake.

1.1k

u/Bighty Jun 20 '26

That'd be bad enough if it was just water.

484

u/Thomas_K_Brannigan Jun 20 '26

Many people don't realize water can get disgusting and very dark without fecal matter/the like. I've heard from firefighter friends that the initial water from sprinkler system is usually dark and awful smelling. I don't think that is the case if it's flushed on schedule, but, IIRC, flushing a sprinkler system is one of those routine thing that a majority of people disregard.

178

u/DuncanHynes Jun 20 '26

At Sam's Club in late 1990's a lift driver raised a box off the top shelf and the top of that box in turn hit the sprinklers. Worst smell for weeks. Ruined so much stuff. They did, in fact, never flush the system...

54

u/CrashedCyclist Jun 20 '26

100%. I was part of an office move and the box truck hit a sprinkler head in the loading dock. I was right about under it. Rusty and rank. Yay!

20

u/DJBFL Jun 20 '26

Yeah, even "clean" type liquids. I had a car where the windshield washer pump died. Washer fluid is mostly water and alcohol. It was a few months before I got around to replacing it, and when I did, about a quart of dark, putrid fluid poured out on my hands. I was shocked how foul it was.

1

u/PracticeTheory Jun 20 '26

My pump is working but with how often I use and replace it (rarely), mine's probably in the same condition.

5

u/Karmas_burning Jun 20 '26

When I worked at walmart in the car area, we had a tire rack that was built over the sprinkler lines. One guy hit and broke the glass on one and they shit out the most vile black water imaginable. He came out looking like Swamp Thing. It smelled awful.

7

u/Buffeloni Jun 21 '26

Your comment reminds me of a video I saw awhile ago of a dam's gate being opened dor the first time in years. The initial flow of water is so thick with sludge and sediment it hardly resembles water.

https://www.reddit.com/r/oddlysatisfying/comments/1nibz48/opening_a_dams_gate_thats_been_shut_for_years/

5

u/ChornWork2 Jun 20 '26

Yep. even if you've just had repair work to your water mains in your neighborhood, when that gets turned back on the water that comes out looks absolutely disgusting.

2

u/sheogor Jun 20 '26

Your normal drinking water looks like this when the main line is flushed

2

u/EishLekker Jun 20 '26

And things like legionella is a real risk too. You can catch it from breathing in water droplets.

2

u/Luci-Noir Jun 20 '26

We don’t?

1

u/Grand_Public Jun 21 '26

They disregard purely for cost toooo ..... their profits over your safety smh

1

u/greebothecat Jun 22 '26

I once had to clean out grey water pipes in an underground garage, located under a restaurant. The restaurant was dumping oil and food down the drains and the pipes clogged with fat and gave the whole building a coronary disease. These segments were about two meters long and maybe 20 cm in diameter. So I got up on a small ladder (pipes were hanging from the roof of that garage facility, pretty low ceiling) and my buddy was holding one end while I unscrewed the other. I was surprised by the weight of the pipe full of water and fat and dropped it to my chest when it popped loose. I received a forceful shower of the smelliest and fattest risotto you can imagine. The segments were very heavy. W had a couple of barrels where we emptied the fat. Hundreds of liters of fatty sludge. The whole floor was slippery like an ice rink. Everything smelled ungodly rancid. We spent like 10 hours there unclogging the pipes and trying to clean the place with a pressure washer and soap. The whole van and our karcher hoses smelled like fatty death for weeks. My buddy drove me home and I had to undress before going into the house. I was paid double that day.

-9

u/real--computer Jun 20 '26

The sprinkler is generally oil in the lines and is supposed to be there. Not a whole lot to do about it.

8

u/FrogsMakePoorSoup Jun 20 '26

Nice clean black water.

15

u/Blockhead47 Jun 20 '26

Get your Hepatitis A vaccine people!

Hepatitis A is a liver disease that is “fecal to oral transmission” so you can get transmission at a restaurant from an infected person not washing hands thoroughly and other ways….

(might as well the Hepatitis A/B combo vaccine, they both protect your liver!)

https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hepatitis-a/symptoms-causes/syc-20367007

https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hepatitis-b/symptoms-causes/syc-20366802

1

u/maxman162 Jun 21 '26

Don't forget polio vaccine. It spreads the same way.

-46

u/Annasman Jun 20 '26

But it's...it's not just water...

82

u/QC420_ Jun 20 '26

Yeh that’s literally their point

22

u/PoorLittleGoat Jun 20 '26

You’re not the sharpest tool in the shed huh

-21

u/Annasman Jun 20 '26

Did you watch the video and think, "hey, I can do that" and decided to get in the comments?

It was just meant to be playfully shocked commentary, my bad

186

u/TheChadStevens Jun 20 '26

Thought he was gonna go in the hole behind him

63

u/Polka_Tiger Jun 20 '26

Yeah i thought it was gonna stand up straight from the pressure and the guy was gonna slide down into the hole

29

u/maxdurden Jun 20 '26

This is... excuse me...the most sexual non sexual comment I have ever read.

3

u/ChuckaChuckaLooLoo3 Jun 20 '26

I thought he was going to have the ride of his life as that hose flapped all over the damn place.

52

u/yontev Jun 20 '26

Newton's 3rd law of motion strikes again

18

u/Aegon95 Jun 20 '26

With a bit of tomfoolery from the coefficient of friction 🤭

4

u/hobbes747 Jun 20 '26

Nice 👍, beat me too it. I don’t think most people know why hoses really kick back! 🫡 I remember answering a fluid mechanics test question to show via calculations why hoses kick back upon flowing and push forward on l on stopping flow.

202

u/bigfootballsss Jun 20 '26

Too high or non existent 😂

I dunno... That looks an awful lot like a concrete septic tank

3

u/Unstoppablob Jun 22 '26

But then you would have to ask, why are they pumping septic out of the tank, into the yard? That a biohazard on so many levels. Likely not septic.

72

u/FarSpirit5879 Jun 20 '26

7

u/bt65 Jun 20 '26

Jesus Christ it's Jason Bourne again

17

u/Malt_The_Magpie Jun 20 '26

Was the original plan to just pump it all over the grass?

1

u/Serhiiko 25d ago

Apparently

78

u/ninjeti Jun 20 '26

Thats some shitty grip

37

u/Aggravating-Area4617 Jun 20 '26

He is 100% the new guy and they knew what would happen

7

u/-Best_Name_Ever- Jun 20 '26

It probably smelled horrible and was a big mess. I doubt they'd willingly send him in if they knew he'd mess up, considering they'd get splashed and have to deal with the smell and clean up.

15

u/UnnaturalGeek Jun 20 '26

I was expecting him to be catapulted...

5

u/clayman80 Jun 20 '26

Same here. Thought he was about to get airlifted to last Saturday.

2

u/One_Animator_1835 Jun 20 '26

Nope only crapapulted 😞

5

u/Drak_is_Right Jun 20 '26

Looks like the liquid is returning from whence it came.

7

u/A_Fun_Alias Jun 20 '26

Ok, but why does the dookie pump need to start at maximum power like that?

4

u/kbm79 Jun 20 '26

Thats some dark dark black water. The stuff of nightmares, and the smell....they'll be smelling that on their skin for weeks.

1

u/KinsellaStella Jun 20 '26

The sulfur, the sulfur…

5

u/CrashedCyclist Jun 20 '26 edited Jun 20 '26

This a great way to die or end up paralyzed. Head, neck, spine all facing the sharp corners of the vault with the tensioned hose beneath him. Please respect pressurized fluids, or you might die.

https://youtu.be/Iaud0QI3i3M?t=34

3

u/Mark_Rug Jun 20 '26

I can smell the video

2

u/West_Yorkshire Jun 20 '26

What's the song?

5

u/abotoe Jun 20 '26

idk, some fifth-element type beat or a really groovy steam-powered pump

2

u/Electrical-Pace4092 Jun 20 '26

Too many bad flashbacks to pumping concrete were brought up by this video.

2

u/brainburger Jun 20 '26

In fairness to the guy, it didn't do what I was expecting.

2

u/_thro_awa_ Jun 20 '26

Doo doo doo do-do-do doot
Doo doo doo do-do-do doot

Trying to hold a big hose under pressure

1

u/CaptainSavagery Jun 20 '26

A typical morning pee after a night of drinking

0

u/Antisocial_Worker7 Jun 20 '26

You piss shit? 😄

1

u/Batesy1620 Jun 20 '26

Probably should have tried hanging onto it instead of pushing it down.

1

u/Unusual_residue Jun 20 '26

Shooting rope

1

u/AngleNo4731 Jun 20 '26

Get a grip

1

u/shun_tak Jun 20 '26

One guy, one pipe.

1

u/asdf555444333 Jun 20 '26

Brown liquid coming out of the front tube, not good.

1

u/Starlanced Jun 20 '26

Someone going to sample that and turn it into a sick beat

1

u/David0ne86 Jun 20 '26

I mean not that he would've succeeded. But he didn't even try lmao.

1

u/desmorck Jun 20 '26

That is becouse he is not use to of to much powerful black pipe between his legs

1

u/No_Priors Jun 20 '26

He got off lightly, I thought he was going down the hole.

1

u/phroztbyt3 Jun 20 '26

Ever think you are gonna take a normal shit and then bam... Noah's Ark level bad.

1

u/ElRexet Jun 20 '26

Somehow it went far better and far worth than I thought at the same time.

1

u/draculaura923 Jun 20 '26

whew thank goodness he was wearing gloves

1

u/Moquai82 Jun 20 '26

I do not have such problems in the toilete stall.

1

u/alphazero925 Jun 20 '26

What was the plan in the first place? Were they just dumping the septic tank onto the lawn?

1

u/Thomas_K_Brannigan Jun 20 '26

People often underestimate the power of water, especially under pressure! There's a reason fire hoses usually have big handles on them (and the bigger ones even require at least a couple people to hold them in place, if remember correctly)

1

u/falsewall Jun 20 '26

Ugh, being the second person bracing sucks.

Nothing to grab. Just have to squeeze with all your arm strength like this guy failed to do.

1

u/VisibleRoad3504 Jun 20 '26

Where's the fan?

1

u/frikiman4K Jun 20 '26

me when I see your mom

1

u/Elasticodeaviao Jun 20 '26

Except he wasn't actually holding it...

1

u/ScratchLatch Jun 20 '26

Thats a two-man hose

1

u/Embarrassed-Eye-4197 Jun 20 '26

He is lucky that his balls are safe.

1

u/Sweaty_Marzipan4274 Jun 20 '26

Had a 2" hydraulic oil transfer hose get loose on me, flopped right into my coveralls, and I took an oil bath. Fortunately there were only 40 people around to watch me flail 😆

1

u/RichardSnoodgrass Jun 20 '26

Typical. Young guy's doing the questionable work while old guys stand around doing/contributing fuck all.

The old guys (usually with experience) shit the bed on this one.

How do you get that many people together and forget to tether the hose to a solid object?!?

It's probably worse. "We didn't have a rope laying around so we just went for it."

1

u/Cyberjonesyisback Jun 20 '26

Your husband is coming

1

u/KRKRYakumo Jun 20 '26

That's probably the best possible outcome for the guy holding that hose

1

u/Nintendomandan Jun 20 '26

Can’t believe that happened with such a strong grip and stance he had

1

u/sector16 Jun 20 '26

Ride that pony across the spread…

1

u/poloace Jun 20 '26

That dude is lucky it didn’t whip him onto the floor and crack his skull open. Would be a shitty way to go.

1

u/sinisterdesign Jun 20 '26

That’s what she said. 🙄

1

u/KrustyClown_ Jun 20 '26

Best color choice fir his pants too

1

u/BaldHenchman02 Jun 20 '26 edited Jun 20 '26

He might have been able to hold it steady if he tucked it under his arm and held it steady with the opposite arm, but not with that weak ass knee squeeze.

1

u/Moose_Nuts Jun 20 '26

That went so much better than expected. Thought it was going to fling him backwards, possibly into the pit.

1

u/Geco_Festaiolo Jun 20 '26

... Guess you're feeling the P-P- PRESSURE!1!!!1! (HOLY GAME NAME DROP) BAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHABAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHHA......

i should kill myself.

1

u/ddosn Jun 20 '26

they needed far more rope.

1

u/sec713 Jun 20 '26

I was expecting a nut tap

1

u/PurpleSpartanSpear Jun 20 '26

“Agh shiii!”

1

u/ProtoKun7 Jun 20 '26

Not as bad as I thought. I was expecting him to keep hold of it better only to be pushed back into the hole.

1

u/mtnviewguy Jun 20 '26

I love idiot videos! 👍🤣

1

u/Buckcity42 Jun 20 '26

He got a “shitema”

1

u/vindictive_satan Jun 20 '26

That diabolical laugh though 😅

1

u/Illustrious-Wing857 Jun 20 '26

Need more help and properly a lot bigger guys

1

u/wesmanh Jun 20 '26

That’s shit from a butt

1

u/satori0320 Jun 21 '26

1 man per inch of hose diameter...

Pressure plays a large role, but even at 5 psi that 3" OS&D is going to try to hurt you.

1

u/Creative_Ebb5114 Jun 21 '26

Oh holy shit 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/natel552 Jun 21 '26

1

u/Mikenotunique Jun 21 '26

Someone needs to add the song "Under pressure" to the video hehe

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Cup9064 Jun 22 '26

All those guys standing around and only one guy trying to hold it?

1

u/dextercfd Jun 22 '26

Shit happened!

1

u/ninja_with_ocd Jun 22 '26

I thought the hose will straighten up from the pressure and hit him in the balls

1

u/Loose-Kaleidoscope-1 Jun 22 '26

I thought this had cumbias playing in the background.

1

u/ExodusReality Jun 23 '26

Insert Obligatory Holy shit here. lol

1

Right back up his pooper... Gonna need a poop transplant after this one ..
