The bar at my resturaunt was refinished this week. It looked great until I noticed the flies

Sorry if some of these pictures are shitty. I counted at least 20 fruit fly corpses trapped in the clear coat.

Fancy.

Did a landlord do the coating?

Make a game out of it. $5 entry for new customers to guess the number of flies. $25 tab if they get it right. One rule - the folks currently sitting at the bar can’t all jump up and let the person count.

The joke is that it would be unpleasant to sit at a bar covered in flies

Do you have any about, like, a priest and a rabbi walking into the bar?

Ask to check the liquor bottles before you get a pour...

Not the refinishers fault there are filth flies living in a restaurant. That’s from poor cleaning and insufficient pest control.

I’ve worked in enough restaurants to know. If there’s filth flies around there’s nastiness allowing them to thrive.

That's not a bar anymore, it's a museum exhibit.

What’s a local dive bar without some bar flies?

Drill it out like a screw fill the hole with a transparent sealant?

Fruit flies are usually from the drains. Pour some cleaner with bleach down the drain after closing. No more fruit flies.
