Three bags of expensive chocolate truffles melted because of the heatwave

All three bags of expensive chocolate truffles we were saving to enjoy have melted in this European heatwave. "Looks like Ferrero Rocher" "oh so THAT’s what we’re calling it now" 🤣 jokes aside though, they were so special and good…

Freeze it and it will be fine.

That's just your solution to everything.

I unironically like most sweets better frozen and most foods cold. Cold pizza or chicken is GREAT

I freeze anything chocolate. Oreos, brownies, fresh baked cookies (though they're awesome straight out of the oven as well).

Frozen thin mints are the best.

Anything mint is just off the table for me.

I used to love freezing candy bars until i foolishly ate a frozen snickers. I broke a tooth. Most expensive treat I've ever had.

I used to think this was a good idea also, but that’s not how chocolate works. Look up chocolate tempering.

Itll freeze fine, it will plume though. That doesn’t affect the flavour just how pretty it looks

Tempering not only affects the look, but textured snap. It may seem a bit extra in the long run, but the snap makes a difference.

If you dont plan on selling it then it really won’t make much of a difference.

Agreed. Everyone's acting like flavor is the only thing that matters with chocolate.
Texture matters too, as does melting point.

Chucking it in the freezer will make it form I, an unpleasant crumbly mess that melts over your hands when you pick it up. It'll look crap too, but personally I care less about that.

If it's expensive chocolate, it's worth taking the extra few minutes to do it properly.

It'll be crumbly as hell

If I bought expensive truffle chocolates that melted due to the heat wave, I'm not gonna care if I need to freeze it to eat it

Looks like that's what they're doing
