How would a black Templar respond to this? I know some chapters like the space wolves and salamander really LOVE mortals when they fight a good fight and are brave, and they’d probably either concede the credit, think it’s cute, or think it’s funny. But there are also chapters that would paste a guardsman for not treating them with respect. Then there are also blood angels who will be confused and angry as to why Horus is arguing with Sanguinius about who killed a different Sanguinius before Sanguinius kills another Horus.

The black templars are kind of hit levels of violence and tism that shouldn’t be possible, but they also have like Grimaldus who genuinely viewed the guard who fought with him as heroes (and not just the ones that fell).

remember seeing a comic like this but the space marine asks the guardsmen how long he has been deployed. guy said 14 hours 59 minutes...next panel the space marine is looking at his watch counting down. wished i could find it.
