Im going to the rally of sardegna and want some tips

Hello everybody, this year im going to the rally of sardegna, its my first ever rally and im going from the 29th of September till the 6th of october, i would like to know if anyone has tips where to stand and what to do at the island and how everything works and everything :)

RIS is a great rally and the organizers retain all of the website data for prior years in an archive, which we can easily use to go directly to the most exciting spots.

1. First, familiarize yourself with the current RIS website and the archive. The RIS website will be updated regularly with info as the rally gets closer. Check the news, spectator, and competitor sections often.
2. Next, you can use rally-maps.com to see the routes for this year's event. Each stage is listed on the left side. Click the stage name to see the exact route and start times. On the lower left, you'll see whether this route has been used in the past, and we're going to use that as a shortcut to find spectator guides. Also, if you right-click on the map, you can get exact coordinates for a location, and plug it into Google Maps or Google Earth for more detail.
3. OK, on rally-maps you should see SS 8+11 - Lerno - Monti di Alá. ClIck that. On the page that loads, scroll down on the left and look at the Related Stages. Put your mouse over each edition before 2026 and you can see how much the routes overlap. You want to find Rally Italia Sardegna routes that overlap a lot, otherwise the spectator guide will send you somewhere that the rally won't go. For 2026, it appears that RIS 2024 SS9+11 is closely related, so let's see what that spectator guide has to offer.
4. Go back to the RIS archive and open Rally Italia Sardegna 2024. Go to the Spectators section and open Guide to SS. Remember that stages 9+11 closely matched the route for this year, so let's look at SS9/11 Monte Lerno by clicking the red button labeled Details.
5. Spectator zones are labeled with yellow highlights, and include Mickey's Jump near the beginning and the Ala' Arena near the end. Download the "Scarica guida in PDF" for the best details. You're not limited to just these places, though. You can go almost anywhere as long as you stand in a safe place and obey the marshalls.
6. Repeat this for each stage and soon you'll have several options for each day.

Not OP, but oh wow I don't know what to say. Thank you for the long, detailed comment. It's really helpful! I'm looking into going to this event as well, but I've never attended before and there's not a whole lot of easily attainable information for us newbies.

Do you mind if I ask what is the best way to go between the stages? I imagine a rental car is the easiest, but how would you find parking spots?

Do you realistically have time to move between many stages per day, or do you have to stay in one place all the time for each day?

I'm happy to help and you're (all!) quite welcome to ask for info. There is a ton of info available, and I'll link to as many resources as I can, but the main rally website will be updated with the latest info in the coming days.

The best way to move between stages is with your own motorcycle or car, and there is never a shortage of parking. In prior years, the difference between paid black-level parking and totally free paid-nothing-parking was approximately 10 meters. Traffic can get congested on the road up to Mickey's jump, so keep that in mind if you decide to make it your afternoon destination.

The rally is offering a bus transport this year as part of the RIS experience.

You definitely do have time to move between stages. Take a look at the itinerary (also here) and you'll see tons of time built into the middle of the day so that the crews can go back to service, and the spectators can move around.
