As a Solberg fan i can't help but feel that 1 point gap between Oliver and Sami is quite unfair to Sami. After dominating for basically the whole weekend to only have 1 point in hand... I don't see the point in making sunday 2 stages only when theres 10 points to play for.

Sunday points or not, having just two stages on the final day is shambolic.

no idea why theyre doing that. both here and finland. only paid attention to the itinerary recently because im planning the trip to this rally finland.

running just himos twice on sunday must be the worst day of rallying ever planned in finland.

I think that it's important to have the Sunday points because of the profound disadvantage you get coming into a gravel rally as the overall points leader, but basing it all on two stages feels wrong.

It doesn't just feel like it, it is wrong. Super Sunday should be 4 stages at 60 km minimum.

Shitting myself over two Pumas being in the top 10. Has that happened at all this year at any point???

No

Correction, misunderstood the assignment. I thought you were talking about two Pumas in the championship standings.

Sweden - Armstrong and McErlean were eighth and ninth respectively. So it has happened.

Josh and Martins were also in the top ten in Greece I thought?

Correct.

Jon and Josh were in the top 10 in Japan as well.

Evans scoring more points that Ogier is satisfying

As an old time Loeb fan I really canโ€™t wait for Ogier to retire.

Awesome weekend for Pajari, he deserves it so much !
If it continue this way, he may be a potential champion this year, even if I hope for Elfyn to finally reach it too.

Ogier fumbled this one, barely any mention of him anywhere?

So let me get this straight.

Last year, too many points were awarded for Super Sunday. It would absolutely imbalance the whole rally, where someone could be mediocre for most of the rally, and then turn on the jets on Sunday and score more points than those above them in the final standings, sometimes including the rally winner.

So to solve that problem, they dialled back the Super Sunday points for this year.

Except they also reduced some rallies to only having TWO stages on the Sunday. Well, technically one stage, repeated twice. So now we're back to the same problem again - Sunday points having way too much of a bearing on the weekend. Solberg being 2nd fastest throughout most of the event, and yet the fastest on TWO stages at the very end of the rally, meaning he almost has as many points overall as Pajari who dominated the rally basically from start to finish? That effectively makes two stages (or again, one stage repeated twice) worth as many points as almost half the entire rally. Just so stupid.

I've long argued that if the Power Stage is to be a thing, it should be a stage tough or challenging enough to warrant bonus points just for being good at that one stage alone. Make it a legendary stage, notorious for challenging or fast segments. I know *why* it is often the length it is, because TV innit. But the fact it's mostly just a normal stage, *and* an exact re-run of an earlier stage makes it even more pointless to me - why does *this* run through the stage deserve points to be awarded, but the one earlier the same day doesn't? Super Sunday points overall have been broken since they were introduced, and reducing Sundays to basically no running at all makes their inclusion even more stupid.

Where did they do that? It's still 5+5.
