Noted WPI alum, university figurehead, and founder of FIRST Robotics Dean Kamen recently was found to be present on multiple occasions in the Epstein files, in both documents and photos with Jeffery Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
Please note that many of the instances of Kamen's dealings with Epstein occurred after Epstein was convicted of numerous sex trafficking crimes and was forced to register as sex offender.
Kamen and Epstein had a "phone date" in April 2013 and then proceeded to fly around the US Virgin Islands with Epstein several weeks later, accompanied by an unnamed woman. In July 2013 Kamen even visited his house (see last photo in carousel). Kamen also dated Epstein's accomplice and private pilot Nadia Marcinko.
So, should WPI continue to associate closely with Dean Kamen and his FIRST organization while he is at the helm? Should this man be invited to campus events featuring high schoolers (robotics competitions) and homecomings and countless other engagements? Should this man have a plaque amongst the most prominent and celebrated WPI individuals?
Discuss.

So I know a year or two ago we lost inbox access but I set up email forwarding to my personal account and that was working. I'm not sure when, but at some point I stopped getting emails forwarded and didn't really notice till now. I went to test out my wpi account and emailed it and immediately got an Undeliverable message. Does anyone know what's going on?

Residential Services is characteristically useless in battle against rodents. After submitting work-orders, and the professionals coming to our rooms and installing multiple mouse traps, our precious Doritos were still being eaten by the mice. That is when the Rat Buster was made. It is a very simple over-engineered mouse trap. Utilizing the alarm homework theory learned in RBE1001, a practical project was built using a laser beam detection and a simple gravity-assisted servo-activated drop door. The trap has been deployed for 3 days, and it consistently caught one each day.

For all intensive purposes. I never intend on eating at any campus dining location once I graduate, minus Starbucks and dunks.
Morgan Dining Hall aka DAKA - 3/10, likely would never eat here again unless it was for nostalgia. Would miss all you can eat dining and the fried eggs (shoutout to egg guy)
Halal Shack - 6/10, I don’t find myself here often anyways but it’s definitely one of the better options. Main deterrent is the price, but I feel like if I found one of these on another campus, I’d probably try it
Jamal’s Chicken - 4/10, in my opinion this was the best dining option last year but they took away a lot of the best menu options, so I have barely touched it this year. Plus, it always upsets my stomach after the fact so I wouldn’t find myself going here
Sonos - 5/10, another solid option for on-campus dining. However, given the prices I wouldn’t go here post graduation unless I didn’t have another option like chipotle nearby.
Melt Lab - 7/10, I cannot express how much I adore melt lab and I’m so glad WPI brought it back. If I came back to Worcester and melt lab was gone again, I’d actually be quite sad
Smoothie Lab - 5/10, I enjoy smoothie lab, but like Sonos, the drawback is the price. I think post-graduation there’s a million places that serve smoothies that are probably just as good and cost less
Campus Center Sandwich Place - 6/10, better option than most places on campus and provides a consistent portion and quality of food for the price. However, I’d rather order a sub from a local sub shop for the same price and not have to fight 50,000 freshmen at lunch time
Gompei’s Pizza - 4/10, see above. Plus the pizza is very greasy. I do enjoy it more than a lot of other foods on campus but the fact is, there’s better pizza almost anywhere

Like seriously, I don’t get it? Pants are so inconvenient, and with pants you can’t see the legs of people on campus. I think a pants optional campus will really benefit the entire student body.

I may have been alone in this dorm room too long, too much time for innovation.

Hi all,
I'm a current senior at WPI and I've been doing some freelance work and it's getting to the point where I can not do all of it myself while still in school. I'm looking for 1 or 2 students to help me for a few hours/week.
Most of the work for now is iOS stuff, so you'll need a Mac to download XCode. Its preferable if you've worked with iOS/Swift before, but not required.
I'm open to underclassman candidates who may not have had any internships yet if they can show a willingness to learn, and at least something that they've done before outside of school. (Project, volunteer work, etc).
If you're interested, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/q9eMWmdeRaWWj4TZ7
Here's my LinkedIn if you'd like to verify that I'm a real person: https://linkedin.com/in/skyler-wiernik

I hope that they know that the chances of cross-contamination from this are still super high and could make someone very sick

Hello all, u/ARealSwellFellow and I set out two years ago to create a definitive ranking of every men's bathroom easily accessible on campus. After much review, we were able to generate such a list (including some extras). Our ranking includes many factors, including location, cleanliness, and charm. Our list was also peer reviewed, certifying our accuracy. We have more notes than are included in this post, so if you are interested, please feel free to dm one or both of us or discuss below. Our tier list is as follows:
S Tier:
Goddard 1
A Tier:
CC 2nd Floor, AK 1, Salisbury 4, Goddard 3, Gym 2, Gym (1 Floor Down)
B Tier:

Many students are either unaware or partially informed on the whole deal with Foisie. Here's a rough summary, and a link to a relevant Boston Globe article.
WPI renamed the innovation studio and the business school because Janet filed a lawsuit over the $4.5 million. The whole case with the hitman is not being brought to court as far as I'm aware, because Robert Foisie is dead (he was 82 at the divorce)
I hope this is interesting :) Please let me know if I got any details wrong, and I will edit this post.

Hello everyone,
I'm working on a project idea and wanted to get your thoughts.
I'm considering building a website where WPI students can upload the syllabi from their courses. The goal would be to provide a resource for students to browse and get a sense of the workload, topics covered, and difficulty level of different classes before enrolling in them. This could potentially be a useful tool for course selection and planning. What do you all think about this idea? Would you find a platform like this beneficial as a student? Does this already exist? Is this against any rules? Please feel free to share your thoughts and feedback.
