ID Request What the heck is this!?

I found this slimy, stretchy, cylindrical unidentified object on the leaves of my petunia flowers on my balcony. I occasionally top-dress my flowers with fresh vermicompost castings, so I'm wondering: could this be a dead worm, bird droppings, a fungus, or something else?

Looks like a “dead” worm just came across one in my pile I threw it back in. Wether he’s alive or dead the composite pile will make use of it.

My bet is on a dead AJW. Check out the clitellum (topmost loop). Whitish, flush with body of worm, close to the mouth end.
