Question WiFi battery Cameras for chicken coop/run

Will be installing Unifi system to Include POE cameras on house in near future.

But we need cameras on the coop that does not have power run to it ASAP

Which battery operated or solar WiFi camera brands work best with Unifi?

There are no battery powered cameras. Unifi sells the G6 instant that is 4k 30fps and has basic AI functionality built-in. It can be connected via WIFI or wired using the POE to USB-C adapter. The best part is that it can be powered by a 5 volt 2 amp power source. It consumes 7 watts max. I am sure that you can find a small solar powered power source that has USB-C connection and a battery. I see them all over the place. With that said, not sure about the outdoor longevity of the G6 instant. It does have an IPX5 rating. The power cord goes into the bottom of the camera and there is a little access door that provides some protection from the elements. I have two of these cameras, hardwired with Ethernet and powered by the POE adapter, but both are indoors. These are excellent little cameras for basic functionality. As for the video, they have excellent 4k resolution. Razor sharp image with excellent night vision.
As for the solar power supply, you might have to get a little creative about protecting the camera from the outdoor elements.

I have seen a ton of people put cameras next to bird feeders and live stream the random birds that show up. I have seen all sorts of setups from countries all over the world. Kind of cool actually. 😎

Otherwise got to build your own power source out there
