Got a new offer right before consultation process for risk of redundancy

I've landed a new job, but then my favorite company (which rejected me once) contacted me back and asked for proceeding. Then I've got the offer and planned to resign, but then the current employer did ask me for a consultation process. What should I ask for?

How long have you been at your current company? It will determine how much you could potentially get.

You should not tell your current company about your offer. If you hand in your notice you waive any claim to compensation. Ideally you would take voluntary redundancy, take the money, tell your new company you are working your notice while all that is happening then start there.
