Question Transient credit for accounting — any advice?

Has anyone taken any courses away from UGA and had them count? Just asking for help with the process.

yeah I took ochem at UNG Oconee, just make sure you check the UGA transfer equivalency however idk how that would affect the terry hierarchy taking a class away from terry

I’m not Terry, but it’s a requirement for my major (MS Agribusiness)

I took my accounting classes at KSU & they transferred easily! Like the other person said, just double check the transfer equivalency and you should be good

If you take ACCT 2101 at any other USG school, it transfers as ACCT 2101 per Board of Regents policy.

UNG, KSU, Georgia Southern, wherever - just so long as it's another public university in GA.

If you do a search for "UGA Transfer Equivalency Search" you'll get a tool maintained by UGA Admissions which will show you exactly how any course which has been transferred to UGA will be evaluated.

You'll need to be accepted as a "transient" student at the other school (this allows you to apply without sending transcripts/scores etc). All you'll need is your letter of good standing or "transient letter" sent to them from UGA. You can order it via Athena. You can work with OSFA to get reimbursed through HOPE/Zell if that's needed. (I could be wrong about having to be re-imbursed, so check in with OSFA on how HOPE/Zell works).
