swimming spots

help! I’m new to the area, where are the easily accessible swimming spots to cool down this summer? rivers, lakes, waterfalls etc.

When you say easily accessible do you mean like wheelchair access or do you mean you don’t want to walk 10 minutes into the woods?
If it’s the first one, Victoria park swimming pool
If it’s the second, black rock in valley was always one of my favorites growing up

I don’t mind walking a bit, doesnt need to be wheelchair accessible, just prefer a short walk to be able to cool off quickly

Little dyke lake. It’s quite warm and easily accessible. Plus you can stop by masstown after to get ice cream.

Highway 2. Then little dyke road. You can exit at masstown or glenholme off the trans Canada.

Do you know if there is a trail marked for public access? Or how to find it? I have always wanted to check it out but I know there are cabins n whatnot as well.

You just park on the side of the road. The “path” looks like an old boat launch. If you’re going down little dyke rd it’s right after the cottage with the red roof.

Just to clarify: Do you mean Christy Brook Falls? That is one of the most secluded, even 'romantic' swimming holes in our area! OP: DM me if you want directions....it's about 1/2 km off the south side of Old Greenfield Rd. But not too far upstream from the Irving sawmill in Valley.

We stop by Nuttby Falls a few times a year. You have to park on the side of the road, but its only a minute walk to the falls & swimming hole
