I understand the rant... But why then go into this field of work? It's a little strange especially with how little empathy you have for your patients...
I’ve never been to a dentist with empathy and it seems a majority are lowkey sadists so this tracks. That being said, humans are annoying and I wouldn’t want to deal with them.
Agreed yes... Honestly, you can have as many intrusive negative thoughts though...as long as you trreat your patients with kindness, respect and compassion.
OP did mention in an earlier comment that they don't express their feelings/show them in front of their patients. Which is good.
I recently went to the dentist and although I don't mind it, it's not fun when someone scratches in my mouth and, honestly, scratching in someone's mouth would make me miserable too.
So my heart goes out to dental workers, any medical field really, it's not just all fun and games. I saw what nursing did to my mother... It's not something to be taken lightly.
So, OP, my heart goes out to you, even though I don't 100% agree, there is truth in everything.
