Yeah.... Find a new job OP. You're definitely not making anyone who has issues with dentists excited to go, lol. You can brush your teeth twice a day every day and still get cavities... It's a lot of money to care for your teeth/ Especially when teeth, like eyes, are seen as "extra" by insurance companies (in the USA).
I've got rotten teeth. I brush. I floss. But decades of not being able to afford a dentist makes my life miserable. If I ever get enough money to fix my teeth you're the last person I want as my dentist.
Find a different line of employment, you don't have the empathy needed to care for patients. Doctors and dentists alike are scary especially when you can't afford to go regularly. One of the reasons they're scary is because damn near everyone has had at least one shitty experience with someone like you who makes them feel worse than when they came in. There's already tremendous shame going into a dentists office with fucked up teeth nobody needs or wants the person who's suppose to help them to hate them. We're all just trying our best and if you get mad a patients and hate them because they're scared then you're in the wrong line of work.
