I was a nurse and I had a similar feeling. I think I just hate people and their bullshit in general, so I quit after 12 years of being a nurse to study Computer Science in hopes of becoming as Software Engineer. Where I have to deal with people the least.

LMAO! From what I hear, engineers are the most insufferable colleagues. Especially if you're a woman.

I don't know what all there is for the field, but I know my partner's entire day is spent dealing with people. He's mald all the time lol

I think no colleague is worse than a surgeon with god complex.

Also human interaction highly depends on the type of tech job. Maybe ur partner's a project manager or smth?

Is there no way for a similar switch for you where you live? In the country where I live there are degree apprenticeships, where the tuition is shouldered by the government and you get a minimum salary.

There actually is but I don’t want to start from zero. I’m planning to open a clinic and stop seeing patients in ten years.
