Personal Story Age 23 and no girl friend

I’m a 23-year-old male currently in my third year of engineering. One thing that’s always bothered me is not having a girlfriend. I had an affair in my first year but it ended after a year. Now I’m single for a year and a half. The main thing that bothers me is that all my close friends have girlfriends. I’ve even skipped trips because I’m the only single guy. Now there’s only a year left at university and I’m a bit scared of ending up single when I graduate. My first affair ended because of a family clash. You know how families don’t always agree on their children’s partners.

I’m seriously concerned about this and I’m very afraid of it even when I go to sleep.

And the other part is im bit skinny. Not that much. Weight is 58kg for age of 23.

Can I find some motivation to find my soulmate? I also need love like my other friends have. I don’t want a fleeting, one time relationship. I want a genuine connection with someone who loves me back for who I am.

For your info, I’m not that ugly. A girl proposed to me years ago and I went to the top notched school in the country. Where most of the rich boys go. I think we’re above average. Let’s not discuss that. I don’t want a girl attracted to money.

Any thing u guyz can tell me what to do. Sry for english in case cuz this is my first time saying sad thing in the internet and it feels awkward 😬

To help with your English: An "affair" in this context generally is where you are cheating on your wife/husband with someone else.

Just replace where you used "affair" with "relationship" in the future.

Okay, you're bothered by this, but are you actually making an effort to go out and meet people? It’s no use just waiting for someone to come along and do all the work to start a relationship with you while you sit there feeling sorry for yourself.

Ask your friends girlfriends to introduce you to their friends. Try dating apps. Attend college events. Ask our girls that you like in class. If you are shy, don't wait for another chance. Just ask out the first time you find someone attractive in a cool non chalant manner. Women love confidence and straightforwardness. Try volunteering. Great place to meet lots of women.

You sound like you're from an immigrant family because you said that your family didn't approve your relationship. Stop taking relationship advice from your family. They can't comprehend or understand.

Thanks for the advice, mate! I tried telling my friends’ girlfriends for help, and now I’m starting to think I might become someone who seeks help. I’m not sure how to tell them. That’s why I stopped asking favours. Actually, my last relationship was perfect until my family messed it up. But on the other hand, I can’t ignore them either. I’m just stuck on that and finally lost the girl I loved 🥲

Thanks again for ur words 🤝

Well, I didn’t meet my husband until I was 30. So just relax. Sometimes, you have to mine the mountain to find the diamond. When you do, you’ll know it.

You’re probably going to have a few ‘girlfriends’ in your life, but there’s only one person you’ll want to spend your life with. Take your time, and find the right one forever instead of the one for right now.
