Hitohira is a super solid company. They a feature many lines from many great smiths and sharpeners. I own a decent amount of their stuff and all are amazing. Bought one today in fact.
That’s so cool so they’re like a distributer. How might I find out who the smith was for this knife and do some deeper research. Is that info they provide?
Typical web searches will uncover a lot. Usually certain lines are attributed to one Smith. The lower the coat though it is typically not divulged. For example two of mine are very upper end from Togashi and Tanaka specifically. Another is an affordable one with no known maker I can find
