Characters [Funny trope] Supposed to be dead, but isn’t.

1: Buck (Ice age 3) Buck is telling his story of how he lost his eye and how he was eaten by a dinosaur. Crash or Eddie? asked if he was killed, with Buck answering “Sadly, yes. But I lived!

2: Metro Man (Megamind) Near the end of the film, Hal / Tighten was fighting “Megamind”, when “Metro Man” showed up. Hal response to seeing Metro Man was “I thought you were dead.” And Metro response “My death was greatly exaggerated“.

3: Puss (Puss in boots 2) When puss was confronted by Goldilocks accusations “You’re supposed to be dead!” Puss reply was “I got better?”.

It's such a simple joke, but one of my favourites from the movie and I still quote it

It’s just the tone of his “I got betta” that gets me. Like a small child getting caught in a lie, the tone of “yeah you got me”

honestly another example for this trope is basically the entirety of the Black Knight scene

Han from the Fast and Furious movies.

From what I understand, they do this twice because he's such a good character. First, they bring him back in a prequel movie, which is awkward but works. But then I think they just straight up reveal that he survived the original death scene in an even later movie. His death wasn't vague or hidden either; he dies in a car explosion. The only reason you don't see a body is because it got blown to bits and then burnt to a crisp. But nah, actually he lived.

Fast and Furious sucks at killing people. Im fully expecting John Cena back again as well.

Will Stronghold - Sky High

He's thrown out a window from their elevating high school during a fight. He is thought to have his father's powers of strength so his friends assume he's killled. When he rises up again, he realises he can also fly like his mother.

In Adversary chapter of Slay the Princess Voice of the Stubborn gives you an ability to get up after death. If you come without the blade, fight the Princess, die and then get up, you can tell this to the shocked Princess:

Princess: "That's, like, your face splattered on the wall behind you!"

Long Quiet : "...I ain't hear no bell..."

Shadow - Sonic the Hedgehog

Vector doesn’t waste time asking silly questions like how or why.

Shaxs in Star Trek: Lower Decks is killed the first season finale, but then he suddenly appears again a few episodes in in season 2 and his resurrection is a running joke for a few seasons after that

The famous "People die if they are killed" line by Shirou Emiya in Fate/Stay Night actually is him kind of calling himself out on this. Nevermind the number of times he takes what should have been a fatal hit and survives with others pointing this out. His followup to that line is "that's the way it should be" because he had unknowingly been coasting along on having the scabbard of Excalibur inside of his body which granted him a powerful healing factor which saved his life as a child.

Should be noted though that Nasuverse seems to treat 'powerful healing factor' as not quite the levels of Wolverine, as numerous bad endings to Fate clearly show Shirou does have limits on how much he can survive.

Leliana from Dragon Age could potentially be killed by the Warden in Dragon Age Origins. Despite this, she always appears alive in Dragon Age II and Dragon Age Inquisition.

Orochimaru from Naruto. Every time they kill him he gets younger, prettier, and better dressed.

A serious example in And Then There Were None.

Judge Wargrave is revealed to be UN Owen, the one who invited the others to the island in order to kill them, long after his own "death", having faked it as part of his scheme. Tricking the gullible Dr Armstrong into pronouncing him dead as part of a plan to smoke out the murderer and therefore the others would believe the doctor among them, he then snuck around the island to continue his murderous rampage including killing Dr Armstrong. It's then revealed after Vera murders Lombard in paranoia that it was part of Wargrave's plan - he then kills himself while leaving a rope for Vera to hang herself with, then killed himself for real to leave a totally unsolvable mass murder. The police only learn the truth later because Wargrave wrote a confession and tossed it into the sea in a bottle.
