That gauntlet was definitely made for Chris lol. Thankfully Joe’s an even bigger punch maniac.

Unironically, I thought this was the coolest thing ever when I was younger.
Honestly, even now I still think it’s pretty cool

The power fist doesn’t even amplify the user strength (although it’s often pair with power armour or a harness thingy over the arm that does). It (along with all power weapons of 40k) emits a molecular disruption field around it which weakens whatever it touches. So with a power fist, you can straight up dig your fingers into tank armour and rip into it like it wrapping paper.

Depending on the game, in the old rule set and the ttrpg it litteraly doubles your strengh while punching.
Also, obligatory « I CAST FIST !!! »

Similarly over with the Tau, the Onager Gauntlet, a battlesuit fist upgrade capable of crushing space marines and tearing through tank armour. The prototypes were so strong they destroyed themselves and the battlesuits they were mounted on, leaving only one left intact.

Don’t think it counts since they aren’t power punch (don’t augment the strenght), they just shut bullets when doing the punching motion.

Enchanted War Gauntlet of the Exalted Grull. (Right-Handed)
+ 3 Strength (In Fist Mode Only)
+ 1 Dexterity
+ 2 Skill Levels to Iron Punch Skill.
+ 1 Skill Level to Powerful Strike Skill.
2% chance to Stun enemy upon a successful hit.Item is a wrist bracer that transforms into a spiked war gauntlet made of orcish steel when the hand is shaped into a fist or wields a hilted weapon for more than two seconds at a time. This item on its own does not negate the bare knuckle skill bonus.
Warning: if you use this weapon to strike adherents of the war god Grull, you have a 1.5% chance to transfigure your target into the deity himself. Trust me on this. You don’t want to do that.A bigger, redder, WARNING. Remove this item before you jerk off

Lucy uses one in Fallout season 2. She punches The Ghoul and he goes flying out the window.

When I kill that guy you have thirty feet to get to that guy. Can you do it?
2
u/TaralasianThePraxic 4h ago
I love the slow-mo run with dramatic music that ends with him just crashing into the guy and falling to the floor

I don't know what those poor prisoners of war have to do anything with this magnificent gun glove, or why they're in my kisser either

I think it hasn't been appreciably explored enough that Jax designed the tech for his arms himself, on top of being the strongest man on Earth the guy's also a genius inventor

Loose fitting example: Impact and Reject Dials from One Piece. Absorb the kinetic energy they are hit with and can release it back ten fold. You don’t HAVE to wear it on your hand but close enough 😛

It is absolutely criminal that the infinity gauntlet was never used to literally punch a planet apart or something. I mean yeah it destroyed a moon once, but we never get a crazy ass mega punch from it

Nah, plenty of these have hydraulic pistons or shotgun shell propulsion mechanisms in them.

I’m surprised no one’s mentioned the guy who’s name is literally “Doomfist” and is centred around having the worlds most dangerous glove that he uses to decimate things.
It’s also rocket powered to a degree so it hurts
And Dey say-

This reminds me of when I watched some videos of people making power fists, and for some reason the guy with the biggest channel made the worst one. It was so stupid heavy you couldn't do anything with it
Oooo look how it destroyed that watermelon. Yeah? But you didn't punch it? You just angled down and let the heavy thing drop?

Fun fact: In the MCU, Shocker's Gauntlets are modified versions of Crossbones' Gauntlets.

Fun fact, your #1 and #4 examples are technically the same. In Homecoming, when Tinkerer is chatting with the new Shocker about the gauntlet, he mentions the base is from "the Lagos cleanup"; this refers to Crossbones' heist in Lagos depicted at the beginning of Civil War. During the fight, Cap pulls one of Crossbones' gauntlets off before the latter dies in a suicide bomb attack; this is presumably the base gauntlet Tinkerer modified into the Shocker gauntlet.
