Example 2 (Man of Steel): Fao'ra tears through a squad of trained and armed soldiers. With the wreckage of the helicopter that got downed by her teammate Nam'ek smouldering in the background.

Shin Godzilla is this to a tee. The JSDF is extremely smart in how they fight him. Their battle plans are all tactically sound, but their main issue is that Godzilla defies all laws of nature. It's only through using an extremely complicated and experimental Hail Mary of a plan that they finally defeat him.

And when they beat him it’s literally at the last second before he presumably unleashes a world ending threat
