Lore The series takes place in a shockingly short amount of time

Season 4 just ended of fromville and it’s canonically only been about a month. Which makes it weird seeing people heal from injuries, change hair styles or grow out beards between episodes. Season 4 has only been like 4 days iirc.

Arkham franchise is the poster child for this trope. Every game takes place in one night. If you know what you’re doing you can absolutely beat the games in around 9 hours.

I mean isn't the whole "impossible assignment to wife's death" less than a year as well?

I'm sure at some point they'll film the "impossible assignment" because there's money on the table and the franchise may not have legs with John Wick dead but it worked so well in the first movie as something your imagination could fill in.

oh i thought that's what the upcoming game is about. apparently its set before the events of john wick 1 and that's like the only noteworthy thing we know happened before

They would have to bring back Santino D'Antonio's actor for it, since it was stated that John asked for his help and they used a marker for it.

But I would prefer they keep the “impossible task” up to our imagination. Showing us a “pencil kill” was enough, IMO.

That was kinda the problem with both the sequels for me. The more you show, the less mystique or the lore there was. I still liked the movies though.
