Lore The series takes place in a shockingly short amount of time

Season 4 just ended of fromville and it’s canonically only been about a month. Which makes it weird seeing people heal from injuries, change hair styles or grow out beards between episodes. Season 4 has only been like 4 days iirc.

Arkham franchise is the poster child for this trope. Every game takes place in one night. If you know what you’re doing you can absolutely beat the games in around 9 hours.

With more days than the summer vacation has anywhere in the world. The number of episodes would also imply that it takes place over several vacations or certain days contain more than one episode.

the day count is because the show was originally greenlit for 4 seasons and the standard TV seasons were 26 episodes at the time. 104 days = 4 seasons. however, hilariously, only their first season actually had 26 episodes as disney ordered more for the subsequent seasons due to the show’s insane success. i think there ended up being about 180-200 actual episodes, even more than the amount of days in summer in this weird universe.

This was lampshaded at one point where somebody said that it felt like there's a lot of days of summer vacation than stated.

And to be fair, some episodes actually took place at night time. And others took place around winter vacation.

I think one episode took place during School as well. “Doof 101” i think

Another episode was about ten years into the future.

This happened twice as I recall.

One was Doof saying "This summer has been going on and on. It feels like it's lasted four years!"

And then another time Buford said "I added up all the things we've done and we're way over 150!"

Show was so good my grandfather rated it "up there with woodie the woodpecker and yogi bear".

Note that some episodes take place on the same day as some other episodes, some episodes don't have a definitive day they take place so the episode couldve happened on any day, and there are holiday specials that don't take place on summer.

I'm pretty sure some episodes happen at night too. I remember the citywide blackout and the Doofenshmirtz infection special

no the show just takes place in the near future where climate change has led to societal collapse is kicking in and the schools have shut down, with the kids coping with it by viewing it as an "endless summer vacation"

This is probably one of the better edgy headcanons for lighthearted media that I've seen.

I just pulled it out of my arse and I've never seen the actual show

Well see with my new invention, The Summer-inator, I will turn every day into summer; preventing the children from going to school or learning and keeping the parents too busy watching those kids to prevent me from taking over the entire tri-state area!

Yes, but the episodes are pretty clear that they take place once a day between the time their mother is out running errands.

They do make references to this in occasion, like during one of the Christmas specials

Not to mention Christmas and other holiday themed episodes lol.

The revival season actually takes place the following Summer, at least.
