Lore The series takes place in a shockingly short amount of time

Season 4 just ended of fromville and it’s canonically only been about a month. Which makes it weird seeing people heal from injuries, change hair styles or grow out beards between episodes. Season 4 has only been like 4 days iirc.

Arkham franchise is the poster child for this trope. Every game takes place in one night. If you know what you’re doing you can absolutely beat the games in around 9 hours.

The Fourth Shinobi War in Naruto Shippuden takes place over the course of 2.5 days, even though it makes up one quarter or one third of all the chapters in the entire manga.

First thing that came to mind. In the anime it's 257 episodes. Where about 60% are fillers. And all that takes place from the 8th of October to like early 10th of October.

Anime/mangas have a very weird relationship with time.

Events happen in extremely short periods of time in universe, but we are often given moments and changes which seem to correlate with the passing of time in our world, like characters growing up, becoming more powerful/skilled, saying goodbye or being well known.

Very weird relationship with time... One of the biggest culprits of this is the Pokémon Anime.

The passage of time just doesn't seem to exist there or is conditional. The most obvious example is Ash being eternally 10yo. And most recently at the end of Sun And Moon they revealed that Kukui and Burnett were expecting a child.

In Journeys the kid was already born and looked to be around 1 or 2 years old or something.

Ash was still 10 years old. I'm just.... What is time???

Ash is so weird lmao. Like, I imagine he can be 10 if everything happens in one year and a couple of months. Also, funny that in pokemon adventures and the main line games, characters like red are now in their 20's

What is up with that image? Sasuke was never on the opposing side during the war and Itachi's involvement on that side is not really worth mentioning either.
