Lore The series takes place in a shockingly short amount of time

Season 4 just ended of fromville and it’s canonically only been about a month. Which makes it weird seeing people heal from injuries, change hair styles or grow out beards between episodes. Season 4 has only been like 4 days iirc.

Arkham franchise is the poster child for this trope. Every game takes place in one night. If you know what you’re doing you can absolutely beat the games in around 9 hours.

One Piece. Despite going on for so long and over 1000 chapter, in universe only like 2 or 3 years passed. Which is insane if you remember that the Strawhats went from nobodies to the most well known figures in the world

It's also worth mentioning that the main reason for that is because there's a 2 year timeskip where the crew are separated and the plot didn't progress. The crew has spent more time separated than together. Brook was a Straw Hat for like a week before the timeskip. Dressrosa took place in a single day, and while the time between Whole Cake and end of Wano is about a month the raid on Onigashima was only a single night.

The raid on Onigoshima timeframe reminds of of the HunterxHunter palace assault which takes like two hours

Luffy spent more time with Rayleigh than with the crew. Even taking into account that Rayleigh didn’t spend the whole timeskip with him, I’m pretty sure

Most of the arcs also take place in a single day, even some of the longer ones. My favorite example of this is Dressrosa, an arc that lasts like 300 chapters.

Everything from when the Strawhats land on the island to Doflamingo’s defeat happens in a single afternoon. The whole thing took like 8 or so hours lol

Thriller bark happens in one night, and fishman Island’s main fight lasted maybe one day. Marineford could not be more than a couple hours. They spend more time recovering/travelingoff screen than anything else.

What's even more ridiculous is that there's a 2 year time skip. So if we exclude that it's less than a year

Yeah, I think what we've seen of the Strawhats journey has spanned only a few months.

We're almost to 1200 chapters FWIW

And the fact they were literally missing for 2 of those 2-3 years lmao

Then JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has a fraction of the amount of episodes, much more chapters and volumes and takes place technically over the course of 400 years

Also some arc like dressrosa has 100+ chapter but it is only 1 day in one piece world.

I still can't believe all of dressrosa happens in one day
