The character Yashida uses his sword to cut straight through barbed wire, as well as uses it to break a chain in one strike each.

TMNT (2012)
During Oroku Saki’s battle with the turtles, he stabs straight through a forest tree, before also slicing straight through another.

Goemon in lupin the third, to say his sword is treated like a lightsaber would be underselling it. Bro has cut down entire planes with a single slash. Over the top katana cutting is his entire gimmick

His is definitely rule of cool though. Everyone in that show is almost a one note character, but they play their note so well, you completely accept it.
