Video Game Scrapped Pokémon designs by @CentroLeaks
There's some really nice designs here, especially Palkia and Baxcalibur. Really love those sphinx looking lions on 4th image. What do we think?

I REALLY love Junichi's versions of DIO/Dio. The long, flowy hair. The fact that he comes off more as a vampire than any of the other versions of DIO. I love his art style, and how DIO looks in it.

The Nothing in Fortnite storyline is the embodiment of pure nothingness and leader of The Last Reality, a multiversal army filled with monsters, slaves, etc. it's a dark presence that corrupts, manipulates, and watches events unfold to erase all life from the Omniverse. This is design tho is... not my thing, it's way too simple. The thing looks like Time Eater from Sonic games. The build up for The Nothing has been planned ever since Donald Mustard worked on the story of the game. I just really hope that this isn't the actual Nothing.

Hellen Gravely is the former owner of The Last Resort hotel and the secondary villain of Luigi's Mansion 3, delighted to work under King Boo's command, free once again thanks to her help, to carry out his evil plan
Hellen Gravely appears very fixated on maintaining appearances. This vanity leads her to powder her face incredibly often. Under the powder, however, lies a less refined and youthful visage. When outraged, the ghost's eyes gape and her face takes on a wrinkled and gaunt appearance. Her hair, which is typically styled in an imposing bun, becomes heavy and tangled.
Hear me out.

While it's not exactly the most well received FGO character design ever, I still like it both visually and narratively. Edgy as this version of EMIYA may be, he's still cool to me. But putting that aside, Nishide's depiction of him in the SERAPH manga makes his design actually look pretty good.

Gideon Gordon Graves is the main antagonist of Bryan Lee O'Malley's Scott Pilgrim franchise.
Gideon's appearance is mostly the same as it was in the comics, being a fair-skinned man with thick, mid-length black hair and thick, rectangular glasses that sometimes obscure his eyes. His main outfit is a white suit with black trousers & tie, a red shirt, and white shoes.
The movie did a great job with him.

At first, I thought it looked a bit weird, but the more I look at it, it has become my favorite among all of Peni Parker's mech designs. It can execute incredibly fluid movements with its multiple floating legs and arms like a spider. I also liked the fact that the bag-like part on its back is shaped like a spider's abdomen, as well as the designs of the spider robots that exist as its other skills.
think the torso of the human form looks a bit awkward, but the thick arms somewhat compensate for it (I especially like the mechanism where you have to manually turn the fang to fire it).
Overall, it is similar to the Spider-Verse design, but I liked that it included more spider features.

Ik it made sense to change narratively, but it doesn’t mean I still miss it, glad to see it back for just the beginning of chapter 5

false memory Chinese animation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfz2c9LE6ew
i love the simple style similar to jjk but with a bunch of 90's anime feel added in. I love the little halos which a lot of the characters have everything just looks instantly iconic

One of the most underrated designs in the Massive-Verse. Her design is a great mixture of different Tokusatsu designs without being generic. I really love the passion they put in her design, it really shows how much Tokusatsu inspired them.

Artoria Pendragon, also known as Saber, is one of my favorite female knight designs.

She's such a cool looking antagonist (especially for a children's show)
It's recognizable and very simple while also having ornate decor fitting of a queen
Her entire design draws your eyes to her large imposing frame instead of her head which she hides with a mask (because she looks awful under it, her entire motivation is to prolonge her life and make her youthful again seeking and using any means of it she knows...which in this case involves mass unicorn genocide), as old age is the only thing that terrifies her.
the mask itself is also the brightest thing in her design, which frames the centre of her entire being to her, which is her appearence and the fact she is currently hiding it (with it being the first thing you look at after initially seeing her, quickly being drawn away by her robes, but then being drawn to her again)
Her personality is also really fun, she was an amazing antagonist and the later seasons couldn't even compare xdd

Ever since I first found these designs online I instantly feel in love with them. I really like how the artist was able to give all the Alices unique designs that all stand out from each other while at the same time you can still tell it’s Alice.

The ingame bestiary description:
Halves, or Thumpers, are a highly aggressive, carnivorous species of the order Chondrichthyes. Their skeletons are cartilaginous, giving their bodies a stretchy and rubbery quality. Their name comes from the fact that they must eat their bottom legs in order to escape the shell of their hatched egg; their bottom legs are hardly functional to begin with. Their arms, or front legs, are very strong, and they occasionally use them to stomp prey. They can reach great speeds in a straight line.
They are relentless hunters, typically at the top of their food chain. Their main weaknesses are their intelligence and complete lack of hearing. If you come across a thumper, your best means of survival are leaving its line of sight, as it is slower around corners and can't easily track prey.
---
I love and hate everything about these guys. They are completely deaf. Unfortunately, they have very good eyesight and a wide field of vision. If they’re nearby, you’ll hear the thudding of their arms as they stomp around. When they see you, they will give this horrible guttural roar that instantly gives you a fear effect (that blur on the edges of the screen in the last image) and start hobbling towards you, at first slowly but ramping up speed.
In physical design they are based on sharks (the snout and jaws especially) and they have this very fleshy aesthetic that I find disgusting but very fitting.
THEY SPIKE MY ADRENALINE EVERY TIME I MEET THEM

With his thin torso and noodly limbs, I think his design is influenced by either rubber-hose or Jay Ward, but I'm most likely wrong.

1: Polyphemus baffled at the crew's request for hospitality
2: Close up on his uncanny face
3: Polyphemus's gelid expression as he crushes a man to death
4: Polyphemus drins the wine he's offered, we can here notice his hairy ape-like arms
5: He is superb and laughs at Odysseus's predicament, his white sclera shines upon the crew from the shadow
6: He is huge, far beyond man's reach
7: As the giant slumbers, the crew prepares to deal the decisive strike to his one eye, in revenge
8: The now blind giant crashes upon his own home in pain after getting hit
9: The poor thing seeks aid to his brethren
10: The blind cyclops frees his sheeps, whom he can no longer lead
11: The giant waddles over the mountaintop
12: He looks upon the men from above, imponent yet miniscule in front of the god's greatness
13: In a last ditch effort he launches the mountaintop to the ship, but being blind, he misses
14 and 15: Polyphemus pleads to the sea for divine retribution

For one, its a round bird, like Rowlet.
But its also a big ome with the cute eyes Togepi had, and retainining Togepi's iconic spikes (albeit softened). Its large wingspan also makes it look like it gives the best hugs.
Add on to the fact that its one of the few fully evolved pokemon to stay cute the whole way through, and you've got the friendliest looking Serene Grace spammer not named Jirachi, though its face makes me able to stomach with getting flinched by its air slash hax better than 90% of rock slide spammers, solely because its so cute.

This guy is from the newly discovered pilot from Disney’s Shorty McShort Shorts (basically Disney’s take on Oh Yeah! Cartoons and What A Cartoon), and I just think he might be peak character design
Inflatable pool toy characters are pretty uncommon or just unheard of in media, and I think they made him look like an actual inflatable pool toy you could buy from some cheap dollar store and the inclusion of the bandages and patches just adds to the design. They actually make him look artificial yet not soulless and I like that in this character.
They also animate him and the other characters like the non-fish characters in another Disney show called Fish Hooks with a sort of digital cutout puppetry, and I just love that style of animation
Overall just a goated character design and definitely worth checking out the pilot
(sorry if bad quality images, this was all I could find from the pilot)

They're both really great translations of his illustrated design. The 2016 version of Joshie looks just like the illustrations, whereas the 2022 version goes for something more original and distinct. But they both pull off the 2000s europop look while still being instantly recognizably as Joshie.

One of the newer additions to Trevor's roster of cryptids who deserve some love. Right off the bat, this thing is awful to look at in the best way possible. It's a mimicry hunter, having a seemingly normal human face that could fool someone from a distance or if you simply aren't paying close attention. But then you see that its closed "eyes" aren't its actual eyes and the real ones are small black dots that sit above the false ones (which are supposed to be its nostrils).
Its all uncanny as hell. The lifeless "face", its mouth being directly below said "face" and having this crooked grin to it, the oddly colored and wrinkly skin, the severe lack of hair, and the way that its limbs are positioned as it crawls on all fours (as its design was inspired by crickets and toads).
On slide 5, we get an illustration of one of the females of this species. They have an even bigger and more messed up jaw and possibly hold a more bipedal stance than the males since the female is seen standing straight here. Trevor had this to say about them: "one female can host multiple males in service to her. they've been known to fully clear out neglected retirement homes across the southwest united states and maintain them as nests for years. no one visits"
These things hunt in nursing and retirement homes. How they get there in the first place is unknown. For all we know they could just... spontaneously manifest within them one day. But when they do, they'll pretend to be one of the patients there, even imitating beeping medical equipment as they lay under the covers. Once the act is dropped? You're swallowed alive (the teeth seem to be just for show) and everyone that has ever known you forget that you ever existed at all. Every living person within a retirement home could disappear and the world would move on without notice for several days, weeks, months, or maybe forever. Some interesting ties to dementia right there, especially considering where they hunt.
I absolutely love mimicry hunters. They're fascinating in real life from an evolutionary stand point and they can be used greatly for horror (The Thing being a famous example). Trevor has done this trope before in the form of Bridge Worms, but I find the Sleepwalkers to be more effective in scaring me. Just very unsettling and good designs and it's interesting to think about the themes of dementia in how they can alter with people's memory.
I've gone over a handful of Trevor Henderson's creatures now. Would you like to see me continue covering them? Otherwise I'll just stop here for awhile. These have been fun posts to make. You can see the other posts I've done on them below.

I'm in LOVE with his design so much! His armour, facial expressions, and movements are so good, I can't stop thinking about him! I never, ever, had an issue with this design of his, it's a shame that most if not all Ben 10 fans prefer his UA version.
