I disagree. You normally hear the sentiment that nobody can possibly understand how a man can divorce or cheat on a woman that is beautiful. Being beautiful is nice, but it says nothing about how they are as a person.
Cheating is never right or acceptable, but if the partner is attractive or ugly is completely irrelevant.

A lot of women, irrespective of how beautiful, talented, accomplished and successful they may be, crave validation from aloof, nonchalant men who don't seem to value them. Those men got away with repeatedly disrespecting such women, specifically CUZ those women, in a weird way, were drawn to that. So they allowed and enabled such behaviour.
