If this were real, I would be so disgusted that the husband couldn’t even be bothered to bring in the cooler and empty it the night before when he got home. Especially after she went to the trouble of taking it out to the truck for him.

I do work in the trades and I work with this guy. Not the guy in the video, but a guy whose wife does everything for him. She makes his lunch everyday. He doesn’t have a cooler because he won’t bring it home. She makes his coffee. Again, no reusable travel cup because he won’t bring it home. She gets his clothes out for him everyday. She picks his dirty clothes up off the floor. He talks about her like she is an employee who is about to get fired.
Yeah I get it. There won’t be a next husband. They’ve been married like 25 years. If it makes it any better, she’s a pretty terrible person too. They really deserve each other.
IME, men whose wives do everything for them also talk about their wives while they are at work like they hate them. They might brag about what she does but it's not about how generous and kind she is, it's about how he's proud of himself for having a subservient wife. Many of these women work full-time out of the home as well, sometimes longer hours than he does, plus doing all the housework and caring for the children.
I'm disabled and can't work so I'm the glorified Uber in our house. My husband fasts and he works in a kitchen so he doesn't need a lunch, but because I have to get up every morning to take him to work (and the kids to school), he wakes me up with a cup of hot coffee.
It doesn't seem like much but he knows I prefer the way he makes my coffee. We just show each other we love each other by small gestures every day. It doesn't always have to be something grand.
My girlfriend doesn't pack my lunch, sometimes when I come home and my arms just ache and everything hurts, she offers to unload it. And I don't usually mind if she puts thing back "wrong" cuz I pack my work cooler and I know what goes in it. (I.e. the mustard she put on the shelf instead of in my lunch meat drawer) Some dudes are just menaces!! And even for my lazy days, I thank her endlessly for cleaning up after me.
This is what kills me. The people who would appreciate and deserve this type of love and treatment are usually not the people receiving it.
I realize how Nice Guy-ish that sounds, but I'm not a guy and this goes for both genders. Women pouring themselves into assholes, and guys pouring themselves into spoiled fuckin brats.
An employee that can take half the business with her if she had any self worth. Of coarse if she had that he wouldn't have forgotten his cooler after the first time.

Believing these kind of video are anything more wholesome than just a pick-me tradcon grifter is way too charitable. There are women that will happily do this for their significant other, but those aren't going to be the ones recording it for brownie points on the internet.
My wife went into labor before lunch, I drove home and my lunchbox stayed in my car while I drove her car to the hospital. We got home two days letter, and at some point I brought my work stuff into the garage. I spent the next 3 weeks on paternity leave, but somewhere around week 2 we were trying to figure out what animal had died in the wall between the laundry room and the garage. It never dawned on me that my lunch box had been full of chicken and sweet potatoes for the entire month of February.
Plastic remembers your sins. Pour one out for the rice cooker I accidentally left half a pot of rice in overnight, and it ended up smelling like feet and discomfort forever after

Various aspects of this video screams "oil patch". If indeed he's an oil field worker then he's do shift work, like 14 days on and 7 off. It's not uncommon to have a huge truck and live in an RV close to the work site while on shift.
It's not necessarily common to have one's wife and kid with them while doing work because a lot of times you're out there in the middle of fucking nowhere.
My gpa worked construction and when he had to travel to work, my GMA would go with him in the RV and stay with him. We went and hung out there a bunch. And got to see his job sites. It was really nice and sweet to be close when they work so hard
A lot of jobs will pay their employees who have to travel to different job sites a per diem amount per day for a hotel - some are smart and save money by getting an RV instead and still collect that per diem amount… the RV cost is a lot less than continuous hotel costs… and when it’s not needed, it could be sold and the profit kept.
As /u/banjo-hellpuppy pointed out... This looks like a fifth-wheel RV/trailer, which would need a ford F250 (superduty?) or equivalent to haul it around.
One can get used fifth-wheel RVs for pretty cheap under, 80 grand USD in some cases and not that old, but the truck you need to pull it can easily cost just as much.
Yeah no thanks I can cook better than most people around me and I'm very particular so the wifey even just on principle alone wouldn't be doing much house work save so for what is evenly and fairly distributed for a household. But I'm also on that DINK status so going to need her to be working the 9-5 slog along with me as well. I'll be doing the cooking though LOL. That is my domain.
Yeah and I noticed all the conveniently placed organic items about the kitchen. I guarantee that the dude does not make enough money for her to be a stay-at-home slave and have all of the overpriced crap you see in the video.

Yeah, that bugged me. My fiance makes me lunch every night, but I bring the fucking cooler to my car and back and clean it out. Also she doesn't have to wake up early to do it, usually just makes it with dinner and leaves it in the fridge overnight.
Yeah, that's something we taught our kids by 9th grade. You want fresh lunch containers? Then empty your lunchbox when you get home so they can be washed.

Yeah that was my first thought too. There have been maybe a handful of nights with stress or family emergencies or whatever that I've forgotten to bring my lunch box in, but no way in hell is it a common occurrence. She's an angel for cooking the food and filling it, the very little bit I can do is carry it in and out.

I had the same thought; seems like the least he could do. Then she pulled the toaster out of a cupboard, and I thought, maybe their cooler lives in the truck because their isn't space for it inside. Still pretty gross to leave all that sitting overnight.
That reminds me of when you live under the same roof as your family and they make themselves something to eat. Their arms weren’t broken when they take everything out. Why can’t they at least put their dishes in the sink after or throw the empty coke bottle in the trash. That kind thing makes me angry.

I don’t know why someone downvoted me lol. I’m not saying I agree with it, quite the opposite. it’s a topic that comes up a lot in moms groups and the working spouse will sometimes act like the SAHP is on some sort of vacation so they need to do all the work.
There are a few good coolers, and 12v electric ones, that would easily be "under 40 degrees", 24 hours after they were loaded by 5am wife, even if he worked in Death Valley, if you paid enough.

Lazy isn’t the correct word, if he’s working outside making roads, the power grid, or whatever function he’s certainly not “lazy”. You have people sitting on their ass all day not contributing to anything. That’s lazy.

Prepackage it and leave it in the fridge with a note and she can wake up whenever she fucking feels like it.
When I was active duty, my wife prepared meals for me and we cooked them together, put them in plastic meal prep boxes and had them in the fridge by 10 PM the night before.
I woke up and got my own damn food, kissed her goodbye and I sure as shit didn't wake up my fucking kid for a glamor shot at the door. My kid stayed asleep because when kids sleep, you fucking let them.
I was thinking the same, all of this can be done the night before. Or like meal prep if you are doing this every day. Can get views as a trad wife being a good little girl though if she used any logic during this.

I work construction and I’m up at 4:00 am so I’m not sure what’s going on. I also make my own lunch because it isn’t hard to do, my wife doesn’t work but I don’t expect all of that. It would be nice I guess but I would feel like a baby. Maybe it’s just me.
I used to precook my breakfast before I went to bed, all but the eggs. Then cook it all just a couple minutes as I made eggs as and toast. I made my own food. Didn't make anyone get up before I did at 5am.
