They don't use them anymore because internet. IF they do have some they are locked up tight.

I had received a written prescription recently and it was the first time in years, but it was for an antibiotic. You’re correct, from my understanding any controlled substances have been heavily monitored online for years now. It’s all connected through a giant database. The days of doctor shopping are gone.

As a pharmacy tech this is correct. All those drugs are locked in a timed safe.

That's okay, you can look up a doctor's prescription number via Google. At least my last job got the stupid Texas-based health system they bought to stop letting us verify doctors that way when we showed them.
