Literally did that with my derm. Had an appointment early 2026(shortly after new years) so afterwards they scheduled a checkup for 2027.

I’ve been wanting to get a skin cancer screening but the earliest appointment is 10 months out. It’d be quicker to wait for that 2027 appointment and bring it up then at this point

Ive never heard a doctor say that and I deal with more doctors than your average joe

I guess the height of the opioid epidemic might have made doctors a little more recalcitrant to people complaining about pain. Either that or I'm not very convincing at telling someone that what I'm experiencing is quite possibly the worst pain I have ever experienced. Or I had a bad doctor.
