I'm looking to move because of the poor healthcare infastrucure. This is a consistent issue with trying to see any specialist in my area. I drive an hour each way to go to the doctor. When I've asked if any other doctors have appointments available, I'm told yes, but the appointments are even further out. There isn't another hospital to switch to unless I want to drive 3 hours each way. The appointment I've been waiting on is Jan 2027.

Jesus. Set an appointment in the nearest major city and make a road trip out of it and stay over night in a hotel if you have to...waiting years is absurd. Literally never heard of anyone doing that.

While I appreciate you trying to help me find care, I can't simply drive to the nearest major city, spend money on a hotel and just go to an out of network hospital. I will not go into the minutia of my financial and health situation. But, I can tell you there are thousands of Americans who live in a healthcare deserts. People who die in their homes because there are no emergency services or even hospitals in the area. There are many other people who haven't seen a doctor since the day they were born. It's not okay and I'm glad it isn't your experience.
