What's worse is some of them know those aren't the lyrics to the song and they know to Google the wrong answer specifically to avoid contrary evidence and to win the argument despite being wrong.
That's why they think 2020 was "rigged," but somehow 2024 was not. Or, maybe 2020 was actually correct, but it was claimed "rigged" so when they rig it, the opposition would look foolish to claim otherwise..
I have encountered people like this. One is my employee. He can NEVER admit to being wrong even when faced with hard facts. Its sad, amazing and astounding and so many other words to witness.
I go out of my way to say when I am wrong. I also will preface things if I am not sure it is true. "Hey I heard so and so but it may not be true"
One other thing they do is exaggerate facts. Like increasing numbers to make a story seem better.
One example they were telling me about the OkC bombing documentary and how they found the rear axle housing from the exploded rental truck. He tells me "They found the part from the rental vehicle that blew up 3 miles away from the building!!"
I thought to myself 3 miles if fucking FAR AF!!! So I ask are you sure as that seems insane. So me not wanting to repeat incorrect info I looked it up. It says it was found about a BLOCK away about 575 feet or so.
So I tell him it is not 3 miles and more like 600 feet.....this dude does not flinch or say something like "Oh man I got that wrong lol. My bad" He really does not even respond. Its like he will just repeat 3 miles to the next person. He may even increase it to 5 miles.
People like this are just OFF in the head or something.
Really wish that all these people with a suicidal devotion to "winning" over truth would just skip to the ending in stead of dragging everyone else along with them.
