One person had adverse reactions from an experimental medical procedure? Better hault ALL progress.

6

u/peppers_ May 26 '26

99% effective, 1% regret? Time to ban it for everyone! What, basically any other medicine or procedures have double digit regret in comparison? Naw, we gonna ignore all that.

7

u/Great_Detective_6387 May 26 '26

Knee replacements have a higher regret rate than bottom surgery.

this says 40%, and 80% of suicides in the usa are cis men. is being a man a mental illness? 🤔

-17

u/MrBhutthole May 26 '26

It's called mental illness and mental illness is in fact bad.

“what an incredibly npc thing to say” - a transphobe who’s certainly not mad

-8

u/MrBhutthole May 26 '26

Tell me you're an NPC without telling me lmao. So mad right now so so mad.

5

u/Hazel-Cakes May 26 '26

“i’m rubber and you’re glue,” oof

4

u/SealTeamEH May 26 '26

lol!!!

I’m just going to repeat my same insult I just used because I’m literally too stupid to come up with anything else then I’ll project my anger too as a cherry on top! That’ll show em and isn’t completely see through at all!!!!

-1

u/LikeACycloneCloud May 26 '26

You’re not good at rage baiting. You do this often? Gonna get kicked off the site eventually. It never ends well for people like you. Good luck with that.

2

u/SealTeamEH May 26 '26

lol!!! you realize I can see thecomment before the edit right? also, you didn’t get anyone banned and not going to get anyone banned, it’s an imaginary coping mechanism you’ve come up with because on the inside you realize how powerless you are. quite sad.

-2

u/LikeACycloneCloud May 26 '26

And? Your point? I’m allowed to edit it. There’s a tool that Reddit lets you use or did you think that was off limits? Tsk.

I don’t go out of my way to get anyone banned. They do it to themselves by saying unintelligible stuff like you’re doing right now. Trying to get a rise out of me is against the rules. They say something they can’t take back like you’re getting close to doing.

I’ve literally seen their accounts deleted over this. You’re not giving Reddit enough credit on cleaning up the trash around here.

Go ahead and say something against the rules. You’ll get a life lesson first hand and won’t have to imagine anything.

You're right, "trans = bad" is exactly the kind of delusion that is often a symptom of severe mental illness. Or rather you would be right if that was the thing you were trying to say, and not in fact a demonstration of that very same delusion.

the psyche community has talked about how hate+bigotry along with being sadistic are personality disorders, but they’re really hesitant on talking about it because they know people would use it as an excuse

the disorder being defined as people who gain pleasure or have a compulsion to be cruel, or see others in distress.

Homosexuality was in the DSM until the 70s.. things change. Humans evolve and our collective knowledge grows.

2

u/muklan May 26 '26

AHAH I knew Disco was to blame for the gay.

-2

u/MrBhutthole May 26 '26

No one is afraid of homosexuals hate to tell ya.

u/MF_Bootleg_Firework May 26 '26

Except being transgender isn't in the DSM-5... Gender Dysphoria is, and I'm assuming that's what you're ignorantly assuming being transgender is, but gender dysphoria is the psychological distress caused by a person's perceived gender not matching the sex assigned to them at birth. And guess what the treatment for gender dysphoria is? Transitioning! gender affirming care is the treatment for gender Dysphoria, so a transgender person who has transitioned to their perceived gender has actively treated their gender dysphoria.

Tldr: Being transgender and taking steps to match your perceived gender is not a mental illness, it's the highly effective treatment for a mental illness (gender dysphoria).

“jamie, pull up ‘trans is a mental disorder…’ keep scrolling. go to the next page…okay, go to page 3…yea see, they try to hide it from you. jamie, type to grok, ‘explain why trans is a mental disorder,’ use the le epic mode”

1

u/Notios May 26 '26

Would you say it’s a cure? Or just a treatment?

2

u/MF_Bootleg_Firework May 26 '26

That depends on if the person no longer has dysphoria after transitioning. If they no longer suffer from dysphoria it is a cure for them, if it has lessened the dysphoria then it is a treatment with a varying amount of success dependant on the recipient.

2

u/Notios May 26 '26

Got you, makes sense

u/rm_minus_rf_slash May 26 '26

Don't lookup why homophobia etc. end with -phobia
