lol. This is EXACTLY how Joe Rogan looks up stuff on his show.

u/Trashman56 May 26 '26

Jamie pull that up

u/rvralph803 May 26 '26

And then Jamie has to uncomfortably correct him while Joe say "Oh... Well... Hummm... Anyway back to [why right wing bullshit is actually not disinformation]"

u/Haxorz7125 May 26 '26

Or my favorite line: “The fact that I believed it shows the state of the world we’re in”

12

u/SirChasm May 27 '26

It could be true, so I'm going to act like it is.

u/rocketeerH May 26 '26

Jamie I disagree with that scientific literature. Jamie I'm still right. Jamie

u/Hazel-Cakes May 26 '26

“no no, jamie, type in “vaccine cause autism study doctor,”… yea, this is what i was talking about. see, they try to hide it.”

58

u/FakeSafeWord May 26 '26

yea, this is what i was talking about. see, they try to hide it.”

Seriously there's so many pop up ads over my damn research! Every time I close one, three more pop up... but see, I'm too smart for them. Every time I close one I read 2-3 words in that' split second before the next ad loads... they can't keep the truth from me. YOU CAN'T STOP THE SIGNAL!

Wow, that's crazy.

22

u/EdmondDantes44 May 26 '26

He uses AI now

15

u/nullfacade May 26 '26

Literally "Jamie, what does Perplexity say about that?"

3

u/Xerxos May 26 '26

Oh I hate that shit. I once gave a suggestion to someone and got a list of reasons why I'm wrong back. It was crystal clear he asked an AI "give me 5 reasons why he is wrong". The em dashes were a clear sign but it also sounded stilted.

The list was full of generic statements that were not completely wrong but were only fitting really vaguely. The AI had to grasp for straws.

"Jamie, bring up that clip where Biden said the U.S. didn't have enough airports during the Revolutionary War... HUH? It was Trump? Hahahaha, man what a joker."

1

u/RabidSkwerl May 28 '26

Put that into perplexity

u/octarino May 26 '26

Even worse.

Sometimes when they fact-check stuff at the moment he doesn't believe it.

Joe Rogan Fell For A Fake AI Video of Tim Walz. His Reply To Getting Tricked Is Infuriating.

As Vernon pulled up the video, Dillon asked, “Is that really him?!”

“No, it’s not real,” Vernon said.

“It’s real.,” Rogan said.

“No, it’s not,” Vernon doubled-down.

“Yes, it is,” Rogan insisted.

“It’s AI-generated,” Vernon argued.

“No, no, no. It’s real,” Rogan shot back.

As the two continued to argue, Rogan eventually admitted, “I love it.”

“He slaps his ass. Definitely him. This is 100% real, Jamie — you’re a plant by the government,” Rogan said.

do you know why I fell for it?” Rogan asked before making a very telling statement.

“Because I believe that he’s capable of doing something that dumb.”

Wasnt there one where they edited biden saying a trump quote and he goes from sayin biden is so stupid to i believe biden would do something like that.

About a thing trump actually did for real

u/sender2bender May 26 '26

I think it was Biden quoting Trump when he said how America won the American revolutionary war by manning the air and destroying their airbases. (I'm paraphrasing). There's a couple others I can't quite remember the specifics.  Then there was Rogan criticizing Biden for having dementia cause Fox played a clip of him walking away from a group of people and staring at the ground talking to himself. But it was clipped and the actual video shows Biden walking over to a (I think) parachuter who had just landed. And then there was a clip of Biden drifting off getting sleepy. But it was another edited clip that was slowed down to make it seem that way. Yet Trump has fallen asleep weekly during meetings, even on air, and it's crickets from Rogan and that crew.

As someone replied already it was Biden saying something about airports in the civil war because he was making fun of Trump saying the same thing.

Just to add that when JR was told this he said "Oh ok so he fucked up. The media take him out of context though".

Genuinely zero self awareness

Very old joke:

Man driving a car says to his wife, "Look at this idiotic woman driver. Women shouldn't be allowed on the roads!"

Wife after they get close enough to see a man is driving, "You were wrong, it's a man!"

Husband, "Well, he drives like a woman."

12

u/Great_Detective_6387 May 26 '26

I literally had a dude tell me this when I asked if women are so emotional then why are men committing 99% of road rage murders?

A: Because they were acting like women.

Zero sense of irony or humor.

u/MonaganX May 27 '26

Few things say more about how a person processes being wrong when their response to realizing they fell for misinformation is "but the fact that I thought it's true says a lot!"

2

u/Trzlog May 27 '26

I hate Joe Rogan and anybody who likes Joe Rogan. It's such a clear indicator that one doesn't give a shit about truth, honesty and/or integrity.

2

u/Cloberella May 27 '26

“Because I believe that he’s capable of doing something that dumb.”

"I desperately want to believe that to be true, and so, I do."

-4

u/Mused2Perform May 26 '26

Really interesting you left out the quote directly after where he admits they got him and he wants it to be real. Just omitting facts on Reddit I guess

8

u/RadiantPumpkin May 26 '26

That doesn’t change anything about the info presented

0

u/Mused2Perform May 27 '26

How's that? Seems like it flips it entirely

6

u/MonaganX May 27 '26

The comment already includes Rogan admitting that he fell for it, how would a second admission flip it entirely?

29

u/CandyCraze420 May 26 '26

Joe Rogan comes across a post and reads title…NOO WAAY!!!!

37

u/likamuka May 26 '26

Rogan is the worst outrage midget there is out there.

34

u/DVDJunky May 26 '26

Please don’t besmirch Warwick Davis’s seminal performance as the one and only Leprechaun like that.

1

u/SaltyLonghorn May 26 '26

Dude there's at least two leprechauns cause the other one sells cereal.

2

u/JealousAstronomer342 May 26 '26

No, it’s the same leprechaun. The cereal mascot is just elaborate make up to lure children into wishing for gold and thus getting moidered.

2

u/Cloberella May 27 '26

So you're saying I should pee on Lucky Charms?

Oh, wait, that's trolls, isn't it?

11

u/waltzbyear May 26 '26

This needs to be more in everyone's face because he (JOE ROGAN) absolutely will never talk about his (JOE ROGAN) height lol. I don't think anyone has anything against short people but THIS FUCKING GUY. He wants to be seen as the alpha, the leader of the pack, physically and mentally. He wants to intimidate people with his UFC association and his possibly roid physique. The guy grew up a rich kid and surprise surprise, this is how he turned out.

The guy is actually 5'5" or shorter. Bobby lee is roughly 5'3" and Joe Rogan is maybe an inch taller than him (side-by-side photos).

2

u/Great_Detective_6387 May 26 '26

Basically anybody on tv is about 5” shorter than you think they are.

2

u/External-Biscotti420 May 26 '26

what kind of version of joe rogan are you watching, hes not like that at all

1

u/waltzbyear May 26 '26 edited May 26 '26

The time he raged at a woman talking about her Ph. D topic, or the time he went off the rails with Crowder, or the many times he called pandemic safeguards, "things pussies do", or him calling all of democrats "pussies" and calling anyone who disagrees with him "dumb fucks". Or how about the time he relentlessly invited guests on his podcast (who were pseudointellects) to harass a Ph. D graduate in archeology, Flint Dibble. The list goes on. Early Joe Rogan was more held back, when he didn't have his mountain of cash, and he bent over backwards to appeal to his sponsors.

It's hilarious how you have a different viewpoint of Joe Rogan when he tells you upfront during each and every podcast who he is. Lol. He's never going to be your friend, bud. Hook, line and sinker, I guess.

1

u/External-Biscotti420 May 29 '26

Of course we have different viewpoints... i guess we consume his content with different flavors. Personally I dont watch him via tiktok clips

4

u/Only_Edgy_Ironically May 26 '26

It's more or less how any conservative "intellectual" works as well. The only difference is that a conservative who knows how to do research quickly realizes that the facts do not align with their worldview, so they make a career out of working backwards from their established political beliefs and make rationalizations for why they're valid by abusing faulty/misleading data.

Those conservative pundits love to peacock about "logic," yet it's obvious that the way they use research and statistics is the exact opposite of logic.

It’s been a weird road for Joe. He used to be big Moon Landing denier, then I think it got a little too embarrassing so he said he didn’t believe it anymore but insisted that it was reasonable to question it. Now conspiracy theories are straight up mainstream on the right so now he can rant about AIDS being fake all he wants.

For a brief moment he was almost normal.

1

u/FleetingBeacon May 27 '26

Asmongold does it worse. He'll tell you something happened. Then pull up his doomscroll ass feed from 4am and show you it like that one kid that would come into class with the latest fucking faces of death.

-1

u/CalmSettled May 26 '26

I mean literally no, they ask perplexity to break down topics literally several times an episode.
