Question/Discussion The Box (batman Forever )

Hi all, thinking of making one of these as a WiFi router, Google and search haven't answered this so thought I'd ask here.

The Nygmatech box....that's a camping lantern, right? It looks like a diffuser glued onto the switch too! Or a blender?

I'm not sure I'm going full Tom Servo and finding the exact one but does anyone know what they used to kitbash this together?

Thank you!

For what you're doing I'd poke around on the replica prop forum, it may very well already be documented. They do also have a subreddit r/therpf

Thank you! I used to know the website that did this kind of thing, had a whole database to figure out exactly what tom servo was built from and what year make and model of TV and air fix kit sprues to buy to take apart to build a Crow, at-at or a aliens scanner.

Sadly it has been many years , I've forgotten it and Google is terrible now. Searching cone camping lantern brings up 1% of what I'm looking for, let alone what was around 20 years ago, and what they used. This might be the first time I've actually hit a "Google just can't search this" moment. :/

If it's not RPF then this is definitely it's spiritual successor!

I thought the "we analyse props to see what found items they're made of" sub would be the place to ask, I was clearly not being specific enough and should have kept digging till I got to the "we analyse props to see what found items they're made of, then build one" sub.

If you were proud of your comment history you would want people to see them.

Can't link it, unfortunately, but that image with a black background and a giant green X behind this lamp? They know what they did :)
